The hotel is not exactly close to the subway, although not too far either. The walk from the station is brightened by the view of the splendid castle that accompanies the route to the hotel for a good stretch. However, just outside the building, there are bus stops. In all Japanese cities, public services are top-notch. You will hardly find yourself (I would say almost impossible) in difficulty or in an area lacking connections. The room, in standard size, is always quite small but comfortable, including the beds. Air conditioning and kettle are always present, while the bathroom in ferry style is still usable even though, with a few more centimeters, it would have been better. The reception staff is impeccable, always punctual and present.

Excellent value for money and a very, very quiet room.
The value for money is magnificent. The rooms are very small, and it is true that mine had a tobacco smell during the first few days, something very common in many hotels in Japan, but they fulfill their function perfectly. What I highlight above all is how quiet the room was. I stayed for almost two weeks and practically didn't hear anyone in the hallways. The location is not bad. It's not in the center, but in an accessible area, and several city buses stop right at the hotel's door. The cleaning service works when you request it. That is, they do not clean every day unless you explicitly ask for it, and when you ask, they do not charge an additional amount. I am very happy with this hotel because it allowed me to visit all of Kyoto without any problems.

I enjoyed my stay, shops within walking distance, clean rooms, friendly staff. If someone doesn't want the busy center but the quiet streets of Kyoto, this is the right choice.

- • The breakfast. I would have liked to have something like yogurt or fruit with coffee instead of Onigiri every day. Or at least some choice.
