I didn't like that the hotel was under renovation and closed, I was not informed, I stood at the door for two hours, I contacted Booking who promised to get back to me in 45 minutes and still hasn't. I warn that the hotel was paid for at the time of booking. I needed to find another place to stay, the reservation had been made months before, there was enough time for the platform to check and inform.

Friendly, helpful staff. Clean room, comfortable bed, and the dinner was tasty and reasonably priced.

- • There was no breakfast available. It was basically a noisy pub. The bedside lights didn't work and there was nowhere to plug in my phone unless I unplugged the kettle. There was a burn on the carpet where someone had put the iron.
Central location for our meeting with family and friends. Nice pub. Parking available at the back where the entrance to rooms is located. Easy access to rooms separate from the public pub side. Serves food during the day until 8 pm.

- • Rooms need updating, headboard was worn and leather flecks falling onto the bed. No heating although there was a heater in the wardrobe that was usable. No breakfast available which was a shame. Smell of damp from the shower room.
