- • While I understand it was a period of transition (apparently hotel operator had changed to Eurostars just few days before we stayed there), this was by no means an excuse for the below-average quality and lack of professionalism and courtesy of the staff. We were meant to wait a very long time to check in, without any explanation and then the check-in staff were pressurizing me to sign-off on a paper for check-in even though it was someone else's name. They then 'tried' to apologize by giving us some useless chocolate from Eurostars that they dumped on the table inside the room. After the 1st night sleep and going to the city, we returned shocked with a rotten fish smell inside the room, and only after escalating to the manager did we finally get given a new room. I found for the price we paid, we were given a very bad experience and this was by far the worst 'luxury' hotel experience I have come across. I hope they manage to fix their issues.

Pros: location, 2 restaurants, good breakfast, breakfast until 11:30. Cons: at 11:20, the breakfast staff rolled up a cart without warning and started clearing the buffet. They didn't remove the plates from your table and carelessly dropped an omelette on it while taking food from the buffet at 11:20. This continued for two days. They were shouting loudly as they were clearing the table and it was passive aggression to make us leave without finishing our meal. At exactly 11:35 our table and another table were completely cleared, we were not allowed to take the fruit and the staff was extremely rude. P.S. The guy at the reception sent us to an Italian restaurant which was very bad. Do not send tourists there.

- • No evening room preparation. Nobody closes the curtains. The reception staff, except for Olga, was unfriendly and not attentive. They recommended a very bad Italian restaurant for dinner. Breakfast ends at 11:30. But at 11:25 without prior warning, they start clearing the buffet. We were sitting near the buffet and three employees rolled a cart and started noisily throwing products. Hotel manager, check the cameras, this was on April 2, 2026, from 11:25 to 11:35. We felt like we were at a train station. It was humiliating for guests due to the bad staff.
Delightful stay in a beautiful hotel in the heart of Vienna, just next to the Opera.
This is a beautiful hotel, in particular the larger rooms facing the Ringstrasse. No issues with noise as the double glazing is very effective. The gym is fairly small, but the sauna and steam room are excellent and very luxurious. The breakfast is extensive and delicious. Staff are super friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend, although it isn't cheap so needs to either be a treat (or on expenses!)

- • Stale bread at breakfast. Unfriendly staff at breakfast, they start clearing the buffet at 11:20 without warning. They make a lot of noise, showing that the guest needs to leave. On the day of departure, we arrived at 11:10 and at 11:20, carts were rolled in and a terrible noise began. The staff, in close proximity to us, without hesitation, threw food onto the cart, creating a terrible noise. By 11:35 everything was cleared. It was terrible.
