Cockroaches in rooms. Rudest manager and terrible service, NOT 5 star.
I spent a few days here and Rebecca is very rude and unprofessional. They don’t take care of the guests and are arrogant and rude. Not a 5-star hotel. Take your money and go to a place where they treat you well, and there are many of them in Beverly Hills. There are also cockroaches in the rooms. I switched 3 rooms because of it.

Rebecca is a rude MANager and treats the guests like trash. Stay at Bel Air, Beverly Hills, Beverly Wilshire, or Maybourne.
After staying 2 weeks, my cats didn’t go through. I called my bank to clear the charge but they wouldn’t let me check back in. The manager, Rebecca, said he saw my name pop up on a “database” and said I should leave, and that I am LOITERING. Really? After I got along so well with all of the staff and spent thousands of dollars, as soon as my card doesn’t go through and I am calling my bank I am loitering? Wow, ridiculous. Rudest and most incompetent so-called manager ever. Stay at the Beverly Hills hotel, Bel Air hotel, Beverly Wilshire, or Maybourne instead, where they treat you with respect and have actually good service. The rooms are also old and small, and they have a bee hive problem. 6 bees flew into my room within an hour of me having the window open. Also they allow people to smoke strong weed on the property. Terribly bad hotel don’t stay here.

lots of choices wrong one
We were dining guests of the Belvedere. Kitchen staff was terrible for a Thanksgiving, Holiday Menu and what you would expect for the holiday was missing. Raviolis and dry tasteless turkey etc The charge for 3 dinners plus one cocktail $1000. The Peninsula Gaddis in Kowloon former restaurant in Repulse Bay and in Tokyo hotel contributed for their star rating

Great staff but mixed overall experience
Classic hotel with top-tier service - the staff is amazing. Special thanks to Dillon and Justin at the rooftop food/pool who were super helpful and went out of their way to try to ensure I was well taken care of. Both are gems. Servers Juan and Kenneth were also top-notch. The concierge including Kerri were great and the complimentary Rolls for rides into town driven by Max was a nice touch. Food was excellent all around including breakfast and in the bar lounge, and I appreciated the free morning coffee. The rooms are a bit small for a family of 4 (we had 2 double beds) and are nice with comfortable mattresses/sheets but felt dated, and the HVAC system was noisy. Several of the front desk staff including Victor, Natsumi, Marcelo, Ariana and Ben all tried to help me find a quieter replacement but nothing seemed to fit our needs. I asked for a quiet room including away from HVAC prior to my stay as I am a light sleeper, but was told my room was actually close to the HVAC unit on the roof. Overall a decent experience but don't think I will be returning.

Excellent in every aspect except for breakfast
Having just stayed in 12 luxury hotels (Bel Air, Peninsula Beverly Hills, Four Seasons Palm Beach, Faena Miami Beach, Waldorf Astoria Park City, W Aspen, St. Regis San Francisco, Waldorf Astoria Vegas, etc) around the USA, I have a fresh feel to review these hotels with great comparisons. Having just stayed at both the Bel Air and the Peninsula, which I consider the two best hotels in LA, the top pick really depends on your preferences. This hotel has a great location, within walking distance to Rodeo Drive etc. Bel Air is super secluded, but offers the best privacy in LA. But in my opinion, you do get enough privacy here too. The service here was excellent, literally nothing in terms of service could have been better, even considering the sky-high expectations. The staff at the lobby knew our names even before we provided our IDs. They were so full of joy and welcomed us so warmly, that it almost felt like coming home, even though it was our first time at the hotel. The luggage was taken from the car without us even noticing and delivered to the room. The valet even asked if we wanted the backseats back up, no other hotel has ever asked that! We were upgraded to a huge suite for our stay. The pillows had our initials. The welcome amenity and champagne was excellent. The bed was first class, soft and silky linen. The pool area is beautiful and very relaxing. It's nicely small, so it does not turn into a resort feel, but remains quiet and intimate. Service over there was also very anticipating. The pool area never got crowded either. Even though the pool and pool area are bigger at Bel Air, it felt more like a family resort as there were many kids playing and jumping. Peninsula pool felt more higher end for that reason. The only downside is that the valet and front yard can get very crowded as many people come for a tea time on weekends. As we checked out, we waited for our car for 25 minutes at least. Also, the service at breakfast felt a bit cold, a huge difference to the rest of the staff. All in all, I would definitely visit again!
