Room for improvement.

Hilton does not have much competition in Gyeongju and it is noticeable. We experienced the longest check-in process ever - more than 20 minutes - which is quite unpleasant after a long travel. We are seniors citizens with physical disabilities and use to stay in 5 stars hotels in order to get help with our luggage… not a this Hilton. We had to unload our suitcases from the taxi and (after our 20 minutes check-in ordeal) had to carry them ourselves to our room. Many employees are walking around and do not appear to be busy, except for keeping an eye on clients and making sure they are not bringing a pizza or a sandwich from the outside. The room had a lake view, a king bed, was clean and comfortable. Restaurants are nice although quite pricy. This organization may be due to the fact that this Hilton seems to cater mainly to large tour groups. In any case, the experience was average and we will not stay nor recommend the Hotel in the future.

excellent vacation for the entire family

After having seen a really nice reel on Instagram from an influencer (@tuanaschumacher) we were attracted to spend our 3 night vacation in the Hilton Gyeongju, right at the beautiful Bomun Lake. Next to a smooth check-in and always helpful and smiling staff, this hotel offered us a spacious, quiet and modern room with all necessary amenities (shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, coffee and tea maker, mini-bar and gorgeous lake-view Also, we had easy access to public transportation (taxi or busses) to visit Hwangnidan-gil street, Woljeonggyo Bridge, temples, train station and other popular attractions and destinations. The bus-stop is right in front of the hotel and via the Naver app and with our T-money travel card it was very easy to visit anywhere. There was an excellent multi-continental breakfast, an indoor and outdoor pool with beautiful garden, fitness center equipped with the latest TechnoGym machines, sauna, squash court, Playstation game zone, nearby grocery stores (350m from the hotel), restaurants and coffee shops. While staying here, we also enjoyed a beautiful walk around the Bomun Lake, with many great sights, monuments, coffee shops and entertainment. A short and easy bus-ride brought us to the centre (Hwangnidan-gil) where we enjoyed many nice shops, and had a glass of wine in a very nice little Hanok village style place. Next to the Hilton, there is even a very cool roller-coaster 🎢 entertainment park. This hotel definitely provides everything to enjoy a relaxing, healing, comfortable and enjoyable vacation, with plenty of entertainment, health and sport options for the entire family. We can only highly recommend this Hilton and will surely return for our future visit.
