We loved our stay and hope we can return one day
We had a wonderful stay at the Sonesta St. George in Luxor. First, the staff as a whole is so warm, welcoming, professional, and helpful. I can’t fully express how amazing they are. I can’t name everyone but I will name a few people who made our stay extra special - Wahid, Mohammad, Malik (reception), Hany and Clara (travel agency/excursion booking), Elia (driver arranged by Hany who we had for three days), Nagha (Pool). The housekeeping staff was also fantastic - always available to help us with whatever we needed. Our room had a balcony and beautiful view of the Nile. Facing west, we watched several sunsets from our balcony. The location is excellent. We walked to Luxor Temple several times. There are restaurants in the hotel and also nearby and it’s easy to catch a cab in front of the hotel if you need one.

The best of Luxor.
It was the best of Luxor, the attention of its staff was incredible, from welcoming us with drinks and fruits upon arrival and departure. The hotel's decoration is beautiful, it has shops of all kinds, and the rooms are spacious with spectacular views of the Nile. In addition, the restaurant's food is delicious, we ate pasta and a seafood soup. Finally, we enjoyed the pool and were pampered with drinks and fruit again. We will definitely return. Thanks to Mohammed for his kindness and warmth from the first contact, and to Nardine for her consideration.

- • There was continual construction, jackhammers, drilling, concrete. There was a construction site inside the perimeter of the hotel and another construction site on the neighboring block. Everywhere outside was covered in grit, the pool was dirty due to the construction grit, I could not sit outside, I could not use the balcony and furniture, covered in grit and the noise from 8 am in the morning until 4 pm in the afternoon every single day of a two-week stay. No warning, the hotel offered to move my room but the noise and dusting of concrete dust everywhere remained so there was no point. The works have been going on for some time so the hotel knew but did not inform anyone, several other guests checked out after one night. I have taken videos daily
