Luxury hotel with exquisite SPA
Excellent location and a particularly noteworthy SPA with spa treatments, especially mud applications. The required medical examination was immediately available, and appointments could be freely chosen. The facilities can only be described as excellent. The hotel also has an exquisite restaurant on the rooftop terrace with an impressive view of the fortress and the open sea. There is even a sparkling wine produced on the island of Ischia, with the peculiarity that its fermentation takes place in seawater stored in barrels that rotate due to the ocean currents.

- • Particularly negative is that there is only one elevator for the more than 30 rooms and the luxury restaurant located on the top floor. It is not even equipped with the memory effect, so there are often long waiting times. We also found it unpleasant that the air conditioning in our lodging rooms was extremely loud and could only be slightly improved by the hotel staff. In the bedroom, there was a decent window facing the sea, which, however, could not be put into the tilt position, making it practically impossible to achieve proper ventilation, especially at night. The Wi-Fi was sometimes weak. Among the many TV channels, there was not a single one in German. The seating in the hotel is obviously designed for short people and therefore not always comfortable for taller individuals. On balance, the advantages absolutely outweigh the disadvantages.
