Handy hotel, clean and comfortable
It was a handy place to stay for 2 nights before our cruise departed.

- • The area behind the hotel looked a bit dubious but not in daylight. The restaurant attached to the hotel wasn't great. Their breakfasts were good but we had a Caesar Salad for dinner and it was horrible- how can a restaurant screw up something as simple as a salad. If you walk out the door and turn right and go to the first corner, there is a bar/restaurant about a block down there that served really good Mexican food. Also, it appeared to be a locals pub. We didn't feel uncomfortable in there but the walk back in the dark felt a bit dubious but a bouncer at another nearby restaurant told us he was keeping an eye on us when a local beggar approached then followed us.

- • We had a water leak in the room, which can happen. Unfortunately, the night receptionist handled the situation very poorly. There was neither an offer to assist us with the move nor an apology for the inconvenience. Instead, we had to dress up at night to pick up the new room key from the reception, as he allegedly could not leave the front office. Additionally, he had apparently given us an already occupied room. We realized this when we were already in the new room with our belongings, where other guests were already sleeping. He was very unfriendly and even blamed us for his mistake. When I reported the colleague's behavior to the morning shift the next day, there was no interest or apology. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this hotel to anyone, as mentioned before, the service is very poor. Even for a hotel that is affordable in price. Kindness costs nothing.
