The bridge to Canal City was a super-plus. We could cross anytime for snacks and meals and shops! So convenient. The concierge at the hotel was perfect --so helpful with all our queries.

Much below expectation, more like three stars hotel
Not recommended. Waste of money. Staff generally are poorly trained and poorly informed. They often give you misleading information that cost me a whole day of my holiday because of the mis information. As for the breakfast is equivalent to even less than a 3 star hotel. Not only is exactly same limited dishes but the slightly better dishes are put out once only and not replaced when finished. The standard did not get any better when moved to the executive lounge. Super Convenient Stay in Fukuoka with a Grand Fee
Stayed at the Grand Hyatt Fukuoka and had a really nice experience overall. The location is super convenient — about a 15-minute walk from Hakata Station, and just a few minutes from the yatai stalls and the canal area. It’s actually connected to a shopping and entertainment complex, so you’ve got tons of restaurants, shops, and even a movie theater right there, which made things really easy. The hotel itself feels pretty grand — high ceilings, big open spaces, and really impressive staircases in the lobby. The staff were consistently friendly, welcoming, and helpful, which always makes a difference. I stayed in a Deluxe King room, and it was spacious and well laid out. There’s even a decent-sized sofa, which was great for relaxing. The bed was a bit on the firm side for my taste, but still comfortable enough. The bathroom was also roomy, though the ceiling felt slightly low compared to the rest of the room. All in all, a solid stay — great location, beautiful property, and excellent service.

The power outage during our stay was disappointing.
The power outage that affected the entire room—triggered by the use of a hairdryer during my stay—undoubtedly caused significant inconvenience. Such an incident is particularly unacceptable at a hotel of the Grand Hyatt's caliber.

Safe and secure - home away from home :)
The Grand Hyatt has an amazing Concierge Team. My 92-year old Mom had a fall in her room and we had to call for an ambulance. Mr Xavier Rakotomanana, a team leader at the Concierge came to the hospital with me to assured me that I would have support and translation services. He was instrumental in providing information and was able to convey my concerns and queries to the medical team. If not for Xavier's presence, I would have been totally lost. When we returned to the hotel, staff we met in the lobby and restaurants all asked after my Mom. They were genuinely concerned and were so happy that she was ok. The next morning, Ms Mikako Tani who is the Chief Concierge came to look for us at breakfast and made sure my Mom was doing fine. We felt so very safe when we were at the Grand Hyatt Fukuoka. It was truly a home away from home.
