Red Ibis or Ibis budget?
Poor value for money... For a rate of 500€ for 4 nights via hotels.com, the room is very standard: a bed, a wardrobe unit without a door, no safe, no kettle... a basic bathroom with a quite slippery shower tray... For 13.80€, the breakfast at the adjacent Courtepaille restaurant is complete...

Convenient location
I chose the hotel for its proximity to Gare Part Dieu. It’s a five-minute walk from the station - once you find the right exit. The hotel staff were welcoming and helpful. The room was very small but adequate for one person. The large double bed was comfortable but only accessible from one side, fine for a solo guest but not very convenient for two people. The room was generally clean, although dusty underneath the bed. There are no amenities such as a fridge (would be useful for water, medication, etc), a safe or a kettle which presumably keeps the room rate competitive. The hotel was conveniently located and I enjoyed a safe and comfortable stay in Lyon.

So close to the train station. They stored our bags before check-in. Rooms were clean and temperature controlled. Very reasonable prices. Would stay again.

Very good location when arriving by train. Bit far from the old town, but public transportation works well. Rooms a bit dated, but comfortable bed and air conditioning worked well on a hot day.

One night business stop.
Ideal location near the main Part Dieu station (5min walk). Open reception area, and very friendly efficient welcome to check-in. Lifts that work (often a problem in France) and good warm bar seating area. Very reasonably priced if you need a comfortable and practical hotel
