We had such a lovely time here, too short maybe ahah but definitely loved the villa. Private pool with outdoor bath and the terrace with hammock, definitely worth staying here. The team also arranged the floating breakfast for us which was really nice!

Terrible Experience in a very unclean hotel with bad hygiene and bad staff who is not helpful

We are a honeymoon couple and we were supposed to stay at Ayona Seminyak from 8 to 12th of April. We left at 4am on the 10th of April. The hotel towels are not clean and same for the bed sheets . Also when you request a new towel , you might receive it with blood drops on it. This happened yesterday . We tried to request refund from the second morning on 9th of April and the hotel refused . The hotel did not even upgrade our room and they offer spa and scooter . We want to leave and they did not offer any refund . last night there was two lizards inside the villa and the staff was very rude . We have to leave at 4am because of the bad behavior for the staff and it was 4am . We could stay with bad hygiene and bad behavior . This hotel is shame on bal and it is the worst hospitality in Bali . We were very happy at Komenka Kermas and there was no problem in the lizard since they were outside the villa and not inside the villa from inside . Be aware do not book this hotel since they will never give you any refund if you want to leave. They are rude staff. This hotel is a trap for any honeymoon couple who wants to stay in a pool villa in Seminyak beach.

At first Disappointing but was Okay

We arrived to check-in and after heading out to lunch we were shown to our Villa (#801). After they showed us around the Villa and left we felt a sense of disappointment, as the villa in reality didn’t live up to the expectations of the photos and reviews that we had seen online (including TripAdvisor). The villa was a bit run down and even though it was clean, the tiles were stained/marked and the main wall of the villa needs a repaint which made it feel dirty. We then gave the Villa a look over and the bath towels had yellow stains; the bed sheets were also stained and had lots of black spots (not sure what this was, but it made us not want to sleep in the bed), the mirror in the bedroom was all marked (not sure how) and the air-con was dirty. Being in the Villa closest to the Reception, we could also hear the construction noise from the property next door. Overall this gave us a disappointing and negative first impression so we decided to check-out and stay elsewhere for the night. We notified the staff member at Reception our issues and he spoke to his Manager and offered to put clean sheets on that night but we just didn’t feel like staying there. As we had booked in for 4 nights and it was non-refundable, they asked us to come back the next day so they could rectify the issues we had. The next day, we arrived back and they offered to move us into another Villa (#803) to which they said it had just had some maintenance done and a new air-conditioner had recently been installed. They said that the bed had been made with brand new sheets and had new towels. Whilst they were finishing cleaning up the villa, they offered to show us the villa so we could decide what we wanted to do. They also offered us a complimentary 1 hour massage in the Villa (which was nice) as well as a Floating Breakfast (which we declined). We ended up deciding to stay in Villa 3 for the remaining 3 nights as we felt that they had done everything they could to help rectify the issues and turn our experience and impression around to a positive. After the initial first impression and issue with the villa, the remainder of the stay was nice. Breakfast each morning was brought to your room and you could select from a few items, we enjoyed the Dragon Fruit Smoothie bowl - it was delicious. Your breakfast also comes with a bread basket and a plate of sliced fruit. The Villa has a rooftop area with a daybed and hammock, we didn’t use this as it was too hot sitting directly in the sun, it would be great if it had an umbrella up there. The staff were always lovely and friendly. A special mention to Cheeky Boy and Jefri - thank you.
