AMU Dreamhouse - Hostel

The transportation is very convenient. There are many restaurants and convenience stores around. The room, especially the bathroom, is not that clean, which is unfortunate, but it's bearable and understandable considering the cost of living in Hong Kong.

Overall, the place is very good. The bed is not comfortable, the mattress is soft but very thin, I felt the wood of the base a lot. The AC is cold, but they provide blankets at the reception. The walls are very thin, you can hear everything from other rooms, even people snoring. But you have the privacy of your own space to leave your bags open and just lock the door. There are slippers. On the 3rd floor, there are 33 rooms and 2 bathrooms, one with 3 toilets and the other with 4 showers (it may seem few, but I never had to wait and the cleanliness was always impeccable, they also provide body soap, shampoo, and conditioner, as well as 2 coin-operated washing and drying machines (300¥ to wash up to 5kg, 100¥ to dry, but I needed to dry twice). The breakfast is reasonable, I don't eat meat or eggs, so it turned into just bread with margarine, lots of lettuce, 1 cherry tomato, corn soup, and natural yogurt. There is water, coffee, and tea available all day. Many restrictions on talking, you can't talk on the phone inside the room. In the area where I could talk, I did so with the staff's permission and was scolded (through a translator) by a man who was there, on the first day, it was very uncomfortable and certainly affected my perception of the travel experience. I recommend the hostel.
