- • Everything is great. However, the pool could use longer opening hours.
The stay was okay, but far from what one would expect or what the hotel promises.
This accommodation is truly beautiful and scores with a prime location and a great view. The staff is very accommodating, making you feel comfortable right from the first moment. Particularly noteworthy is the charm of the old castle, which adds a fairytale touch and transports you to another time.

- • The hotel has a lot of potential in principle, but unfortunately, the overall experience does not meet the expectations one would have for a room rate of nearly 600 euros per night. Particularly disappointing was the wellness and pool area. The hotel advertises tranquility and relaxation, but this was hardly possible due to playing and loud children at the pool. Perhaps it would be worth considering running the hotel - or at least the wellness area - as an adults-only hotel or with adult-only times, so that guests seeking peace can actually find it. Unfortunately, the service was not consistently convincing. Despite repeated requests, requested items were not brought to the room, so we eventually had to take care of it ourselves. Additionally, there was a significant deficiency in the room: paint was peeling off the ceiling and visibly hanging down. Such a condition is simply not acceptable for a hotel in this price range. Although the issue was reported, it remained unchanged upon our departure. In such a situation, I would have at least expected a small gesture of goodwill - for example, the bread ordered upon arrival for 9.50 euros to be complimentary. It's not so much about the amount as it is about the gesture and handling of justified criticism. It's a shame because the hotel does have charm. However, at this price level, I expect significantly more quality, better service, and above all, that the advertised promise of peace and relaxation is actually kept.

Hotel Schloss Mönchstein exceeded every expectation we had. From the moment we arrived, we felt completely immersed in luxury. We reserved two rooms, and the staff took the time to help us choose the perfect accommodations for our family. They recommended a room that was ideally configured for our toddler and four-year-old, and their advice was absolutely spot on. Every detail met our needs perfectly, making our stay effortless from the very beginning. Both rooms were stunning, with breathtaking views overlooking the fortress and the city of Salzburg. Waking up to that scenery each morning was unforgettable. Every detail reflected exceptional quality—from the plush towels and luxurious bed linens to the elegant furnishings and décor. The amenities were equally impressive. We loved relaxing in the swimming pool and spa, and spending time at the Glass Garden was one of the highlights of our visit. Dinner at the Michelin-starred restaurant was extraordinary, while breakfast each morning offered an incredible selection and impeccable service. We also appreciated the thoughtful snacks and refreshments provided in our rooms, another touch that made us feel exceptionally well cared for. What truly set Hotel Schloss Mönchstein apart, however, was its people. Every member of the team was warm, gracious, knowledgeable, and remarkably professional. They went out of their way to accommodate our family during meals while maintaining the impeccable service you expect from a world-class hotel. This wasn't simply a wonderful hotel stay—it was an experience we'll remember for years to come. Every aspect, from the accommodations and amenities to the dining and service, was first-rate. We left feeling thoroughly pampered and would recommend Hotel Schloss Mönchstein without hesitation to anyone looking for an unforgettable stay in Salzburg.

- • DINNER BOOKINGS AT RESTAURANT WITH LIMITED SEATS AND TIMING. AS WE ARRIVED AT THE PROPERTY AT 5:30 PM AND WISHED TO HAVE DINNER AT THE ONLY RESTAURANT. THE RESTAURANT WAS SOLD OUT AND WERE INFORMED THAT THE LAST ORDER WAS 8/8:30 PM

The room was spotless, beautifully decorated, and very comfortable. The hotel offered excellent service, and all the staff were friendly, welcoming, and helpful throughout my stay. The breakfast was delicious, with a great selection, and the atmosphere was warm, relaxing, and enjoyable.
