Nicest Hotel I Have Ever Stayed At!

If you are looking for a luxurious hotel high above the city (but with easy access to the old city), this is your place. The customer service is outstanding. Our room was fantastic, and there was cake and fresh fruit waiting for us on arrival. Our room was immaculate and quiet. To get to the old city, you walk about 12 minutes to an elevator which whisks you down to the ancient streets below. Too easy. We appreciated the valet parking and my husband got a great massage that helped his aching neck muscles. Overall, this is the nicest hotel I have ever stayed at. Highly recommended!

I would definitely be back. My stay was exceptional, the service was at a high standard, the views were breathtaking and the facilities at the hotel were great. The breakfast was really good as well as the dinner. Definitely worth it.

Magical Memories at Monchstein

My husband and I just arrived home after a 4 day stay at the Hotel Schloss Monchstein. I HAVE to share just how wonderful and special this place and its staff members are. I sent a note ahead that it was my husband's birthday. I didn't ask for anything, just guidence if they had any advice for me, but they took celebrating him into their own hands. A happy birthday as soon as we pulled up, a cake and singing staff at breakfast the morning of his birthday and I think the entire staff had gotten a memo to give him good wishes throughout our trip. Our room was beautiful and spetacularly clean. The fruit basket and small cakes freshened up every day were such a nice touch. And the fresh jam when we checked out was incredible. (Did they observe how much we loved the raspberry or was it coincidence?) The staff... I am southern by birth and we American southerners like to think we rule hospitality... the staff at Monchstein was SO warm, friendly, poised... I'm afraid southerners have been shown up! From the first women at the check in desk (younger woman with blonde hair and another brunette who wore glasses) to the sweet waitress who took it upon herself to make me a fresh green juice at breakfast (her own "vitamin bomb") everyone was beyond lovely and welcoming. I can't stress this enough. They flowed effortlessly between multiple languages and NEVER made us feel like we were anything other than treasured guests, even in these difficult current times politically. When we needed help with directions, the city bus, etc. they jumped without hesitation. We arrived right after the hotel opened back up after it's winter break closing. Some people might think this would be bad timing, but we loved it. It was quiet and so easy to navigate. *The hotel is up high on hill. It's a touch more effort to get up and down, but my husband and I loved the paths and views and it was completely worth the extra effort! We found the mattress to be uncomfortable, but that's just Europe! They like their beds really firm. I truly hese words make it to management of the hotel. Austria should be proud to have representation like the staff at the Hotel Schloss Monchstein. Thank you again to the staff for making our stay so special and so sweet. The pride you take in your work is so clear!
