Disappointing Check-In Experience
I checked in on August 15 and was assisted by a tall, broad-built, middle-aged male staff member at the front desk. During check-in, he suddenly asked for my credit card without explaining what it was for. When I simply asked whether he was going to charge the remaining balance, he raised his voice and replied that it was “just a pre-authorization.” A polite and professional explanation would have taken only a few seconds, and there was absolutely no need to respond in such an unfriendly manner. Check-in is the first impression a hotel gives its guests, and this experience immediately made me feel unwelcome. There are already numerous Google reviews mentioning the poor attitude of the staff, yet the hotel does not appear to be taking this feedback seriously or making any meaningful improvements. This level of service falls far below what should be expected from a hotel of this caliber and is truly unworthy of its star rating.

We only came for the breakfast buffet . It was wonderful. The building is nice, and the restaurant relatively quiet. All fresh food,

Wonder staff and delicious breakfast
You will not regret staying at the grand Hyatt. Service is top notch and amenities are plentiful. We loved the breakfast buffet daily and every staff went above and beyond to be helpful and friendly. Sky walk bridge to Taipei 101 and central location. There is some long term construction noise but didn’t start until 8am. We will be returning on our next visit to Taiwan
