My go-to hotel in Munich
Great location on central Munich. Despite its proximity to the evenings raucous Hofbrähaus, it's quiet and has Munich elegance. Great food and service. Disappointed this time with the suite (rather than regular room) I chose this time. Somewhat larger and more recently renovated, it was still just one room, had no desk and the only seat was in the narrow hall. "Suite" - really?? Regular rooms are a much better value.

Platzl Hotel a MUST for the location
We enjoyed the Pletzl Hotel very much. The room was comfortable and the location was absolutely perfect. Walking distance to Marienplatz where you can see and enjoy a lot of sites. Plus close to the famous Hofbrauhaus (Beer Location) and the Munchner Reinheitsgebot to sit outside and enjoy a beverage. The Hotel has a nice bar and lobby sitting area. You can walk to many locations from Hotel Platzl.

Great hotel in a great location
Our stay was very good, the front desk staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful. My score is 4/5 because we experienced long waiting times for a single elevator, every morning, one of the two was on repair on our stay. If you are having a problem of climbing or going down stairs you should take care when booking a room, not all the rooms are on the same level of the elevators, there are a few stairs difference.

Best Hotel experience ever!
The most memorable and most lovely hotel stay! The people, the service, the accommodations, THE BREAKFAST! Honestly wish such a hotel existed in the States! 5 stars!

Lovely hotel, but the rooms are tiny
Lovely hotel, central location in Munich, a few minutes walk to Marienplatz and Viktualienmarkt. This means it can get quite loud when the windows are open. Was playing tour guide to a friend, and we shared a room with two twin beds. While the room was clean, it was Tokyo-level tiny, which wasn't ideal, especially for the price. That being said, the bathroom was the highlight of the room (weird, I know, but the bathroom was really nice! And clean!), even though the rainfall showerhead was leaking quite a bit. Everyone we interacted with at the front desk were helpful and welcoming. I'd stay here again, but I'd think twice about sharing a room because, again, the rooms are tiny. I've given them feedback to perhaps think about removing the desk from the smaller rooms to help open up some space.

Charming German Boutique Hotel in Munich's Old Town
Platzl Hotel was lovely! Traditional German style. Spotless rooms and hotel. Delicious, huge breakfasts. Very friendly and helpful staff. Perfect location in the heart of the Old Town, walk to everything. So delighted that we stayed at the Platzl - we'd stay there again in a heartbeat!

Great location and service
Very nice hotel. Staff are wonderful - very nice and helpful. Location was perfect - an easy walk to everything. Bed was very comfortable. Room and bathroom were small, but what you’d expect from an older building. Would definitely stay here again!
