Excellent option for Ribeira Grande
Very friendly and helpful staff. Good location with great sea view very close to the beach. Walking distance to very good restaurants and a short taxi ride to more. Rooms spacious, well maintained. Breakfast very good. Bar area comfortable. Some live music at the weekend. Outdoor and indoor pool. We used the outdoor pool and it was great. Also walking distance to the beach. Close to Santa Barbara Beach as well (15 min walk). Ribeira Grande is a great spot for seeing the main sights on the San Miguel island - everything within 45 min drive. Quieter than Ponta Delgada where we also stayed and enjoyed more of a city stop.

- • A little bit pricey but we thought it was worth the extra for the modern facilities and wonderful sea view.
Bar open until 12:00 with small snacks. Beautiful location - beach right behind the hotel. Very good massages, rich breakfast

- • On the first evening we arrived at 4 pm and could not reserve a table for 2 people in the restaurant. Because of a large group. It would have been nice on the first evening, a Saturday, when the restaurants in the area were also full.
