The hotel was okay in terms of value for money, only the service at the restaurant was not good - despite announcing a reservation, we waited for 1 hour without food while other guests who arrived later already had their meals. It turned into a stressful evening due to a scheduled evening program instead of a relaxing weekend.

Loved this hotel. Staff was incredibly nice and attentive. The room was big and spacious and I didn't hear a peep outside. Enjoyed the hotel bar. Quaint and pleasant barkeeps. Highly recommend if you want to be pampered. Would stay again

Traditional hotel in Hamburg
The Vier Jahreszeiten is certainly one of the most prestigious hotels in Hamburg. The location directly on the Binnenalster is excellent. The decor is complete grand hotel style. The service at the reception and the smoker's bar was perfect. We had dinner at the Grill, which was also very good, but the value for money was already at its limit. It's nice when the waiters try to remember every order to avoid fumbling with a note or phone, but it's not practical because mistakes happened more often. What's not acceptable is that the cleanliness of the toilets in the lobby was not perfect. Also, a urinal was out of order for over 3 days and covered quite primitively with foil. In the otherwise very nice room, the logic of the light switches by the bed was odd, there was only one main switch that turned off not only the light in the room but also in the bathroom. All in all, a great hotel, but still some room for improvement.

Super hotel, if one were to mention a flaw, it would be the lack of a pool. The staff is exceptional.

The hotel is generally very nice but for the room I stayed in, it said there was a double bed but it was definitely a 1.5 person bed. The bathroom was very small. I would definitely stay again but not in that room, I would choose a larger room. The location and service were good.
