A great shopping destination hotel
The location was so central to Liverpool One shopping, right in the middle of it and next door to Primark. The room was really spacious and comfortable for two people. The price was good too.

- • Just small nit-picks. I am a big believer in every room needing a mirror and a bin, particularly for women, and the living area has no mirror for doing makeup and the bedroom has no bin. The blind blocking the bedroom from the kitchen is very see-through, so the privacy is in there in spirit. The noise outside the street can be a lot, but thankfully stopped around 10pm and didn't keep me up.

- • Unfortunately we had a fire alarm in the early hours - not the fault of the management & to be fair the fire alarm & flashing lights in the room were v effective at waking us up!
Downgrade on check-in due to electrical problem but handled poorly by hotel staff.

- • Downgraded on check-in because it seems all of the 1-bedroom apartments had become unavailable due to an electrical fault. Stuff happens, but they only offered a refund of 10 pounds per night despite a very substantial downgrade. Not sure if this was Citadines or a local staff decision. When they couldn't commit immediately to refunding the typical *actual* cost differential between studio and 1 bed (typically about 25%, based on my previous stays) I contacted Booking.com customer service, and subsequently the hotel agreed to refund that amount. Suggestion: before arrival check the price for studio and 1-bedroom rooms and screenshot it so you have a clear reason. They also gave 2 washing pods for the laundry and a box of chocolates (we happened to notice these were 7 pounds in Tesco), which I mention here for completeness. On checkout a staff member asked how the stay was and I said, well... honestly... not so great because of the downgrade. Another staff member then started aggressively complaining that they had refunded the difference and they had "given me everything I asked for". Of course that's the absolute minimum they should have done.anyway. Had they just made a reasonable offer to start with, instead of lowballing it, there wouldn't have been a problem at all. Maybe it's the 5th time I've stayed here as Citadines and previously Quest. No problems before, actually they were above average in both facilities and staff, but this time actually poor.
Lovely quiet apartment, excellent short break with all attractions nearby.
great location for sightseeing. apartments very quiet and security excellent. Lots of cafes, bars restaurants all within 5/10 minute walk. Lovely and clean. Television in the bedroom a bonus.

- • better lighting, no light over the bathroom mirror which would have been helpful to shave and be able to apply makeup. Pillows a little lumpy. No coat hooks , these would be useful in the entrance to the apartment especially after a heavy shower.
The location was perfect, right in the middle of the market, and the room was spacious, clean, and comfortable.

- • The location was perfect, right in the middle of the market, and the room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. The reception staff were wonderful. Liz was incredibly kind and helpful, and she gave me so many great recommendations for places to visit, shop, and eat. Fils was also very friendly and helpful. One night, I called him for assistance with the TV because I wanted to connect it to watch Arabic news channels, and he immediately came to help me. I would definitely stay here again! I only have two small suggestions: adding diffusers near the main entrance and beside the elevators would create a lovely scent and add a nice touch to the hotel. Also, having a breakfast restaurant would be a great addition. Overall, everything was wonderful. Thank you for the lovely stay and excellent hospitality!
