Quirky, very comfortable and had more utensils, cutlery and kitchen supplies than anywhere else we stayed. Very homely with extra blankets and excellent service.

- • The hot pools were much too hot. Not a complaint as the service was wonderful and I know they would have shown me how to top up the cold water, I just left it too late in the evening (so good idea to be a bit more prepared than I was).
We have stayed here before and had no issues. This time however the host was not there to check us in. They left a key in the welcome box for us however; it did not have a name or note with it to say it was actually for us. We assumed it was ours and used the room anyway. overall, it was a good stay.

- • I think being located close to main road noise of vehicles going passed is noticeable

Perfect last minute stay
We only spent a very short amount of here but it was absolutely perfect and exactly what we needed. Our flight from Auckland to Wellington was cancelled so we picked up a rental car to start heading south. We booked last minute around 8pm and everything was ready for us to check in when we arrived at 10pm and the host was very friendly and welcoming. We also had a training guide dog traveling with us and were delighted to find they provided dogs bowls as we didn't have one on us a because we weren't expecting to be stuck for the night and there were fenced off grass areas for her as well. As unexpected our stay was we will definitely look to break up trips to Auckland in future and stay here again! We definitely recomend for families and anyone traveling with pets!
