The breakfast was insanely delicious, right next to the hotel was the metro a couple of stations away from the center, the rooms were neat and clean, the staff was very nice, helped with all questions, everything was great, highly recommend, there is also a nice park opposite the hotel and you can find everything you need in the nearby shops, thank you for such a welcome

- • We stayed in room 427 and I must admit, it has the worst view I have ever seen. Quite disappointing actually. Although there was plenty of food out at breakfast, it was generally cold or barely warm.
Certainly to be improved
Clean room but the corridor smelled too much. Breakfast almost exclusively Chinese... staff friendly but difficult to communicate with them because they do not speak English. Metro quite close, 7/8 minutes walk

I will never recommend anyone to stay at Holiday Inn Express Gubei, Shanghai.

- • The room was very small and just like a Bird Nest. The Air Conditioner was leaking and there was water all over the floor. There was no place to keep my luggage. There is no wardrobe in the room. The electric kettle has no place near a power outlet so I had to keep the kettle on my bedside table. My luggage also got wet from the AC leaking. The AC also has some problem because I was fine at night and when I got up in the morning I had a severe allergy and my nose is still running. The bathroom and toilet were too small and with very low water pressure. The restaurant and laundry room are in the basement and the basement smells and is full of humidity. You can't breathe there. When you check in, the reception staff just hand you a toothbrush and a small toothpaste as if the guest is a prisoner and has checked in to prison.
