- • There was a failure upon our arrival, the driver did not pick us up, and we lost a lot of time, which was stressful. Additionally, we paid for a day use more than half the price of a night with breakfast, which is a bit excessive.
Not up to Bonvoy standards
I found this hotel to be far below my usual Bonvoy experiences. I was pleased to receive an email before arrival informing me of an upgrade as a platinum member with club access, breakfast, and laundry included. Upon check-in, I was told there would be no laundry as I was using points for my stay. Furthermore, my room had a faulty shower. I was given another room to move to without any assistance. The second shower only worked on one setting. Also, the room I moved to was not serviced. I believe any hotel that relocates guests should offer an apology and a small gesture, but nothing was provided. There was no follow-up to see if I was okay. On the last day, I requested my room to be serviced during late checkout since it was not done the day before, something I have had done many times. I was told it couldn't be done as I was checking out. Overall, it was an unpleasant experience.

Perfect, excellent stay!
The staff's welcome, the airport-hotel transfer was perfect. The calm and the hotel's decoration. The laundry service and of course, breakfast.

- • The room lighting was malfunctioning (I mentioned it at the reception). The room is dark, and since all the decoration is black, it's hard to find things. Lighting should also be provided in the entrance, near the closets, and around the bathroom mirror.

Quiet oasis in a bustling city
This is our second visit to the Duxton Reserve. We love everything about the hotel. The interior design is a blend of modern and classic Chinese design. The rooms are comfortable and spacious. The staff was excellent, and the food was outstanding. One particular advantage is the Executive Menu for snacks and drinks; they don't have a Marriott M Club but offer amenities to members throughout the day in the lounge. The hotel's location is very convenient, very close to two MRT stations and 3 major bus routes, a 7-minute walk to Chinatown, and the Maxwell Food Center is nearby. The street in front of the hotel is quiet and charming with shophouses on both sides. You feel like you're living in a neighborhood rather than a modern development complex. If we return to Singapore, which is quite likely, the Duxton Reserve will be our hotel of choice.

A fantastic stay in Chinatown
We stayed at the Duxton Reserve in Singapore over the Easter weekend. The room was comfortable, and we loved the hotel and room decor. Many thanks to the hospitable and helpful staff, including Danial, Ali, and the reception ladies. We look forward to visiting again.

1-night escape
Beautiful boutique hotel, the staff are as lovely as always, was upgraded to a lovely loft suite which was amazing. Food and drinks at the lounge were also fantastic.

Lovely stay, but a bad bed
The Duxton staff is amazing. Each person was ready to help and kind. The location is also great, as we could walk to plenty of great restaurants, food stalls, and the Maxwell train station. My only complaint would be the bed... it had a frame that went around three sides, and the person on the frame side had to climb over the other person to get in or out. The mattress was loud and uncomfortable. We love Autograph Collection properties, and this aspect, while perhaps a traditional bed that fits the decor, was not great. The bar and restaurant were quiet, and the food and beverages were just what we wanted.

The service at the hotel was excellent. The staff were very welcoming and helpful from the moment I arrived, and check-in was smooth. I also appreciated that the room was stocked with plenty of complimentary water, which is a thoughtful touch and something that is becoming quite rare in many hotels these days. The room itself was on the smaller side, and the lighting setup could benefit from a bit more flexibility. There was one switch controlling the room lights, with spotlights directly above the bed. It could be nice to have dimmers or separate switches so guests can keep some softer lighting on while winding down in the evening. Overall, a very pleasant stay with excellent service.
