Beautiful and pleasant!
This is our second visit and we will continue to stay at Relais & Maison Grand Tour anytime we are in Florence. The location is perfect and the atmosphere in the rooms is historic and absolutely beautiful! Our host, Ulrike, is truly accommodating to any needs during our visit and treats us like family. Always a pleasant experience!

Hidden Gem in Florence
Ulricke is the heart of this gorgeous best kept secret in Florence. Our room spanned two floors, so cozy and just beautiful. Bed very comfortable, room and bathroom very modernized. And our guide so thoughtful, friendly and treated us like family. What an unexpected surprise this was. Definitely will stay again

Three Nights in Florence
BEAUTIFUL place to stay near all of the sites in Florence. Check in/out was seamless and is willing to help with getting transportation after your stay.

We would certainly stay here again when we come back to Florence
We spent eight days in Florence and this was the perfect location to walk to the Academia, San Marco Square and visit the Duomo. We booked with the breakfast option which was ideal for we just walked half a block to the corner coffee shop and bar for coffee, OJ, pastry and grilled ham & cheese toast that were included. On the opposite corner was a self serve laundromat which we used in the middle of our visit. Ulrike Essex , the owner, sat down with us after we arrived and mapped out where we were and the various sites. She also maintained contact with us throughout our stay via phone when we needed questions answered. We had added my sister in law with us to the trip and we were moved into the largest suite which had three bathrooms, and three bedrooms along with a living room, mini kitchen and dining room. If you went to the upstairs bedrooms there was the option to go out on the outdoor patio. It was very clean, all the beds were comfortable and it was quiet- in the morning you could hear the birds. There was a walkway from our suite to the front doors which was also outside with plants and chairs to sit and relax. This was a theater converted into a B&B and the stage was one of the bedrooms. . The largest bathroom there as well. I had to shower in this one since I weigh 280 pounds. We used the website to research restaurants and we picked five that were within three blocks for our dinners and they didn't disappoint! It was a good value for the price asked.

We loved our stay here. The hostess is very outgoing and ready to help in any way she can. Unfortunately, for us, it was helping us file a police report for having my wallet stolen on the tram and being so kind as to call my husband to let him know to turn off credit cards that had been stolen. It was about a 10-15 minute walk to the tram station or train station.Walking distance to market, Medici Palace, Duomo, Statue of David, etc… We felt safe here. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom had space to move around in. It is so nice to visit a place and feel so welcomed.

we stayed in two suites: one for our family of four and a separate one for my mother in law. This was a perfect set up. We had a large living area where we could all hang out, separate bedrooms and multiple bathrooms. The hosts were perfect and it's located near all the major sites in Florence. We loved everything about Relais & Maison Grand Tour. We will book again when we return to Florence.

Comfortable Renaissance trip hub
The location is perfect, on a quiet street away from the crowds yet with all the main sites within easy walking distance. It was so easy to navigate. Ulrike was very friendly and helpful. She gave us directions from the tram terminus five minutes walk away and was waiting for us when we arrived. She introduced us to the room and facilities and provided a map with a few pointers to key tourist locations, restaurants etc. The area felt very safe and Il Vezzo on the corner was a great little restaurant.

Quirky, charming, comfortable...and perfect location!
Ulrike and Lucia made us feel right at home. We headed out with a map and friendly suggestions, the best of which was: "right, left, right"! That was the way to everything we wanted to see, the best of Florence a few minutes' walk. The location is perfect, close to sites but giving you a feel of a real, living town. At the end of each busy day, we were very comfortable in our room (the Actor's Suite), which was warm and spacious. Being at the back, with a courtyard, we had all of the quiet and privacy we needed to relax. The room was clean, the shower had plenty of hot water, and we felt well-cared for. Our hosts left us on our own but with knowledge that we could go to them with any questions or concerns. Would definitely stay again!
