Yep, it’s rightfully No. 1
Having previously stayed at other legendary Hong Kong institutions like the Mandarin Oriental and The Regent, we thought we'd seen and experienced it all. However, the Rosewood Hong Kong completely redefined what a luxury stay looks like for us. From the moment we arrived, the service was proactive and personal. We were greeted by Jeff, who whisked us away to a private "VIP lift" to avoid a "busy" lobby (there were like 3-4 other people there!) a small touch that immediately set a tone of exclusivity. As we were staying in a club level room, we checked in at the Manor Club. Despite arriving well before the official 3:00 PM check-in time, the team, specifically Max, Chilli, Mika and Sandy, made us feel right at home. The lounge itself is stunning, featuring a massive terrace with sweeping views and a quiet, discreet atmosphere. The food and drinks here are exceptional (especially Mika's cocktails). We enjoyed Drappier Champagne and a spread that far exceeds the typical "evening canapes" offerings. The quality, including a full roast rib of beef (thank you Herman for explaining when asked exactly how it was cooked to perfection), rivalled high-end restaurants. Our butler, Ida, provided a seamless orientation of the room, highlighting the custom art and the panoramic views of the bay visible from every room. The accommodations were palatial! Dual living areas - a "daytime" lounge with premium welcome snacks and a separate "nighttime" lounge featuring a selection of caffeine-free teas. The bathroom featured "his and hers" showers of such scale that you could shower without even splashing the other person drying on their side of the shower. Without exaggeration, the bed was the most comfortable I have ever slept in. In the evening, we visited Darkside. Upon arrival, the Maître D’ informed us they had been "called ahead" to save us the best seat in the house, right at the front for the live jazz. The head bartender, Marco, was a legend, walking us through their aged cognacs and house distilled spirits with the help of Shaun who was also lovely. The hospitality was out of this world, with chocolates appearing throughout the night. Every single staff member we encountered was an "11/10." From the incredible pool deck to the art-filled lift lobbies on every floor, the attention to detail is staggering. We’ve already booked our flights back to Hong Kong for next year, and there is no question where we will be staying. The Rosewood isn't just a hotel, it's a masterclass in hospitality.

Stylish, cozy, very comfortable bedding, tasty breakfasts, the best gym I've seen in hotels. Located next to a mall where you can not only shop but also get a haircut, have a snack. Tasty room service, very cozy slippers, a bookmark was included in the book, and cable organizers were wound on the cords. Overall, very attentive. We took a room with a view of the bay - could watch endlessly.
