Little Drifters North Melbourne
I really enjoyed my stay at little drifters North Melbourne. The approachable staff and welcoming manager Willa were excellent. The Kitchen facilities , large lounge area with roof top views all worked together to enhance my stay. After a short period staying in more expensive accommodation, l much preferred the community feel of little Drifters. I found the interaction with people both young and some old from the four corners of the globe to be enjoyable and memorable. The Bed was comfortable and the bathrooms clean and expansive. Location is perfect close to the Victoria Market and central Melbourne . Definitely recommend the experience and financial savings, enjoyed cooking fresh meals from fresh produce from the market.

- • I can not say there was anything that was not acceptable. Value for money is unbeatable, and you may make a few memories that you would not have in less social accommodation.
Been to other Drifter before, this was disappointing

- • I stayed for a week. The first day I arrived the room was dirty, I waited because I thought maybe the deep cleaning was made the following day. It wasn't, so I asked in reception for that. They never cleaned the room, I asked 3 days in a row and never happened. I saw the housekeeping team getting in the room every day just for taking out the rubbish bin and that's it. I also saw them "cleaning" the bathroom in less than 3 minutes. They have weird cleaning hours, for example: - they close the kitchen from 2-4pm making it impossible to cook or make a tea in hours where people normally do that. - they do "deep" cleaning of bathroom and common areas after 2am and you can hear the housekeeping team (backpackers) making noise and talking loud. The place was half full because it's winter but it was busy everytime and sometimes you couldn't find room to cook, or a chair and table to eat. I can't imagine this during spring or summer. The hostel is ok in general, I've been to worse places, but I didn't have a good experience.
