The location is optimal for exploring Lyon. Metro and bus right outside the door. The restaurants and Bouchons are within walking distance, or just one metro stop away in the old town.

The room was clean. Fantastic location just a few steps from the metro and city center. Good breakfast and very kind and helpful breakfast staff. Rooms very quiet but mine faced a wall.

- • I had booked a city view room but it faced a wall. At check-in, they requested a deposit of 100 euros per night. The property should write about the deposit on the reservation or send an email before arrival to inform the guest. The reception staff sometimes gave vague information to some of our questions.

Worn out hotel still super comfy and quiet. You get what you pay for.

- • The hotel is much more worn out than when we were there 7 years ago. Shower drain was broken, sink cracked, closet door glass broken. Nothing fixed I assume because the hotel is undergoing renovations. They just put down flooring in the lobby and smelled of glue. So what I didn't like was not being warned that the standard would be low due to pending and ongoing renovations.
The breakfast buffet is small but the content is elegant and very delicious. The staff is very kind and the service was excellent. (It was outstanding among the hotels I have stayed in so far)

- • We had a superior room overlooking the courtyard but upon opening the windows, there was a huge wall so no view at all!!! For the price of the room, it's really disappointing!!!
