Exceptionally beautiful rooms. Like a journey back in time to past centuries. I can confirm the family atmosphere. We received many useful tips for our bike tour from the castle owner, including maps. Breakfast is lovingly and personally served with ingredients from the garden and the surroundings. Those looking for something special will find it here.

In olden times, the nobility tries to revel with the people.
The castle has definitely seen better days and the value for money did not match at least for our stay. Major mosquito alert because the rooms were poorly ventilated before our arrival. No ventilation, no air conditioning, and then the sunny side without being able to open the windows (as I said, 1000 mosquitoes per cubic meter). The breakfast was a joke without a punchline but very expensive (we are happy to pay for good food but that was a joke). The request for milk for coffee for 2 people was answered with 'one' 10ml instant milk portion. Our advice, if you have already booked, at least skip the breakfast annoyance. We were close to causing a scene. ;) Rarely have we spent so much money without getting anything in return. It's not quite atypical for Dutch hotel hosts but here it's a negative record. It's clear why the locals either book a holiday home or prefer to leave the country for vacation. We relied on the reviews but they are either fake and paid for or you can really delete everything you don't like.

- • By the way, you can skip bringing an alarm clock or setting the alarm on your mobile phone because due to the roosters they keep there, from around 4 a.m., despite closed windows, the relaxed sleep ends anyway.

Lovely romantic stay in a real castle
Staying in a real castle is of course very special, and then also with a beautiful garden, many animals, friendly hosts, and an ideal location as a base.

Super original/authentic location
The reception and the location are great, the rooms are super original, and the breakfast is delicious

It all started with a warm welcome by castle lord Alex. After a nice chat on the castle terrace with a delicious bottle of prosecco, we were given a short tour of the castle. Of course, there are many private rooms of the family and other residents and guests who live or stay there that are not accessible, but there is still a lot to see. We stayed in one of the beautiful themed rooms, namely the 'Nightingale room'. This is one of the 3 beautiful large rooms in the round tower. There are also other very beautiful and special rooms where you can stay. It's a real castle experience, so no TVs but pure enjoyment. Breakfast by Joris on a beautifully set table and personally served is already a treat to start the day well. He knows how to give good tips about the beautiful surroundings. It was our first time and we stayed for 2 nights. We were sad that it ended so quickly and we will definitely come back! Highly recommended!!

This is a very special location. Feel like a prince or princess for once ;). The hosts are incredibly friendly and caring (we also received a lot of helpful tips for the area) - great breakfast with regional products - we were completely satisfied!
