Our best stay in Egypt

We absolutely loved our stay at Kafana's! It was one of our favorite parts of our trip to Egypt. The location is gorgeous, and the Nile keeps the temperature lovely (we were here in July!). The rooms are very clean and comfortable and the air conditioning works extremely well. The food is incredible and we did not want to eat anywhere else! And it is very easy to get to the mainland from Kafana's; it's simple to walk to the ferry and get across the river. But the best part about Kafana's is the people. The people here are so kind, generous, and funny. We learned a lot about Nubian culture, and they helped us navigate Aswan really well. Every day we would tell Kafana what we wanted to see and do that day and he would help us make the best plan. I recommend Kafana's to anyone coming to Aswan!

Staff was friendly and extremely knowledgeable. Food at the hotel was also good. Rooms were comfy and clean and the view on the Nile was splendid. Would stay again.

The location was amazing and very peaceful, easy transfer using local public ferry or private hotel boat. Kafana and mostafa looked after us so well very welcoming and friendly made us feel at home. Breakfast was a lovely traditional Nubian food. 10/10 would recommend Kafana guest house for a home from home stay

Kafana is an exceptionally caring host who truly looks after his guests. He pays attention to every detail and is always ready to help. Whenever I had questions about transportation, tours, or travel plans, he was able to arrange everything quickly and smoothly, which made my stay completely stress-free. When I accidentally overslept before my Abu Simbel trip, they patiently waited for me and made sure I didn’t miss the tour. That level of care is rare and meant a lot to me. The highlight was definitely the balcony view. It offers a peaceful and private panorama of the Nile and the desert, away from the crowds and noise. Sitting there in the morning or at sunset was one of the most memorable parts of my time in Aswan.
