Beautiful and well-located, a bit expensive for not having breakfast included and still USD 40 for parking

The hotel is a spectacle, structure, decoration, gym, pool, all excellent facilities

  • But it does not have the club, a tradition in several Marriott chain hotels. $40 parking per day

Very Good

Very beautiful large hotel

We had a room on the 20th floor with a beautiful view of the parks, the pool, and the fireworks in the evening. The pool was lovely. Large, good temperature, and very fun with the slides and lazy river. The food was very good both at the pool and in the restaurant. There was a lot to do for our teenagers. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

  • I found the breakfast buffet to be on the expensive side, but with plenty of choices. While we were there, there was a conference, which made it extremely busy and felt more like a business hotel.

Pleasant

Terrible view, feels like I'm trapped

This was my first stay at the JW Marriott Grande Lakes Orlando, and I have to say I was very disappointed with the room assignment. I did not pay extra for a premium view, but I certainly did not expect my window to overlook a large air-conditioning area. For a resort of this caliber and price range, the view was surprisingly poor. The hotel itself is beautiful, but looking out at industrial equipment instead of something more pleasant definitely took away from the experience. Even guests who don't pay for the 'best view' should not feel like they are staying behind the scenes of the resort. I expected much more from a luxury property like the JW Marriott and hope the hotel will reconsider assigning rooms with these views to first-time guests.
