A world class hotel in the centre of Wellington
An exceptional stay from entry until exit. My third night for business in Wellington I stayed at the Intercontinental by IHG and was bold over by the experience. I am lucky enough to have the opportunity to travel for business to many parts of the world and this hotel, in the centre of Wellington, shines bright as one of my top five international hotel stays in terms of overall experience and exceptional service across the board from the Porter to the concierge, the Barman making the best spicy margarita the side of Mexico, and the breakfast crew with that coffee, such a fresh variety of breakfast buffet offerings. A six star hotel experience. And the room! Significantly grand in space and style, with crafted luggage space for my 80 cm Samsonite allowing me the luxury of being able to pick and choose my outfits on solid ground before heading out into the evening and the next day. The room was spotlessly clean with a fridge that actually chills drinks and a wide selection of bar snacks and beverages, a kettle with variety of teas and herb teas as well as a coffee maker. The long and stylish desk, where I was able to work and do business internationally while taking in the view out over the quiet harbour and downtown Wellington itself. The luxurious robes found in both the bedroom area and the expansive bathroom area. Your own wardrobe with ironing board and iron was also a wonderful surprise. The king size bed beautifully presented and incredibly comfortable. The heating smoothly adjustable to your desired temperature as it snowed outside. The decor throughout the hotel, including the room and the lobby was exceptional. Thank you very much for the ninth floor room and for welcoming me, a solo traveller on business, as if I was a returning VIP Guest. Sincere and stylish service all the way. Many thanks. I will return.

Simply great! Great staff, great rooms, great location!
We both slept so well! The bed were super comfy! The Club Lounge was simply superb! Lovely friendly staff and great options for food and beverage. The lobby bar was buzzy and had a good range of beverages. Perfect hotel location for our stay and activities we had planned. The concierges were really helpful and friendly as well. All staff were great even when it was clearly quite busy!

- • Four large towels rather than 3 in the room, when 2 people are staying it is nice to have 2 each. Wish the welcome drinks pricing could be offset against different drink choices such as a cocktail or different wine as was not a fan of the house options offered for the wine for the welcome drink. A small issue and certainly not a deal breaker! Would happily stay again.
Friendly and very helpful staff Rooms were spacious, clean and beds were comfortable Amenities like pool, spa and cold lounge are huge bonuses! Will definitely recommended IHG Wellington
