- • Denied access when checking in because the booking is for 2 people, while I came alone. This doesn't make sense. The receptionist was not present when I arrived at 8 pm. I had to wait for a while. Denied access. Needed another guest to translate for me (who knows English) and even defended me and helped negotiate with the person (who looks like the owner) to give me my room. The likely owner even said that he doesn't want or need my money (translated by the other guest). Eventually got the room after almost half an hour of arguments (without the other guest, it's not possible, thanks to them, yes, it's 2 other guests that helped me talk to the owner). The room is not that clean, with noisy air conditioning and leaking toilets. Will never recommend to anyone who's not fluent in the Turkish language.
Good location
Booked a free upgrade and had a triple room in the annex which was roomy and comfortable. Plenty of hot water, air conditioning, and the WiFi was excellent. No tea making facilities in the room. The breakfast room staff and the cleaners were all very friendly but didn't speak much English, although better than our Turkish. It was a continental breakfast with cheese, melon, hard-boiled eggs, greens, preserves, and pastries which we ate outside in the shady courtyard. It was a short walk to the beach with small supermarkets and good restaurants nearby. We made use of the adjacent hotel's beach club for sunbeds and umbrellas. It was a longer walk to the water taxi but the local buses stopped outside the hotel.

- • It would have been helpful to have a card in the room to explain how the lights went on and instructions for opening the room safe. The owners speak little English so we didn't realize the room key had to be put into a slot to switch the electricity on. The hotel itself probably needs some freshening up during the off-season. Also, there is no lift so it would be hard work if you are not fit and your room was on the 4th floor. There was a power cut on one of the days but it came on not long after we got back. It was outside of the hotel's control but it would have been useful for a notice to have been put up to tell us the power was out.

The positive comments are 100% accurate. The breakfast was very tasty and fresh. The hotel staff was very friendly and the owners were also very accommodating.
