- • The hotel did not have access to their booking account, they claimed they had no reservation. 2 hours later after calling booking, they gave us 1 room with 2 beds instead of 3 beds. Very poor breakfast starting at 5 am, so if you go to Machu at 6 am, it's short. The luggage was supposed to be delivered to the station. Not seeing anything arrive despite our calls, we went to pick them up. Hotel not serious or professional... not to mention the nauseating smell of the toilets and that the windows are as thin as cigarette paper... waste of time and money

Great hosts, great location, perfect accommodations.
We were greeted warmly by our hosts when we arrived. We were tired and just wanted to get to our room. The hosts quickly checked us in and brought our luggage to the room. The room was spacious, clean and well stocked. The following morning we were pleasantly surprised by the quality and variety of the breakfast. We asked for directions to the Machu Picchu bus and found it was just down the street, about a half kilometer. Throughout our stay, our hosts were pleasant and helpful with advice and directions. We genuinely enjoyed our stay at Tara and highly recommend it to anyone.

Great location and the staff were really nice! We loved our room as well with a massive comfortable bed and huge flat screen TV to unwind and watch some Netflix at the end of the day.

Everything was wonderful here. Friendly staff who meets you at the train station & walks you to the hotel. Spacious room, huge bed, hot water, clean property
