Basic, comfortable, and well-located hotel.
Very clean hotel, very comfortable beds, quiet (not much noise), and a lovely room. Breakfast prepared at 5 am, the staff allowed us to leave our luggage for safekeeping after check-out. The hotel is very close to where the buses to Machu Picchu depart. The hotel staff were very friendly.

- • The hotel is not accessible to people with reduced mobility (no elevator, small doors, etc). Some rooms with a view, actually did not have one - it was facing the neighboring apartments (it didn't bother us because we only stayed for one night).
Room faithful to the photos. Friendly staff. They give good recommendations for places. Buffet breakfast 😋.

- • The hot water is extremely hot and the hot/cold water taps are turned opposite ways to open/close, so I slightly burned myself getting out of the shower.
Nice rooms. Beautiful interior. Across the street from the beach. Walking distance to many restaurants.

- • The hotel did not have access to their booking account; they claimed they had no reservation. 2 hours later, after calling booking, they gave us a room with 2 beds instead of 3. Very poor breakfast starting at 5 am, so if you are going to Machu Picchu at 6 am, it's a bit tight. The luggage was supposed to be delivered to the station. Not seeing anything arrive despite our calls, we went to pick them up. Hotel not serious or professional... not to mention the nauseating smell of the toilets and that the windows are as thin as cigarette paper... waste of time and money.
Great place to stay when visiting Machu Picchu.

Great hosts, great location, perfect accommodations.
We were warmly greeted by our hosts when we arrived. We were tired and just wanted to get to our room. The hosts quickly checked us in and brought our luggage to the room. The room was spacious, clean, and well-stocked. The following morning we were pleasantly surprised by the quality and variety of the breakfast. We asked for directions to the Machu Picchu bus and found it was just down the street, about a half kilometer. Throughout our stay, our hosts were pleasant and helpful with advice and directions. We genuinely enjoyed our stay at Tara and highly recommend it to anyone.
