Most beautiful hotel.
Everything. This is really a AAA +++ hotel. From the moment of arrival, the service, the friendly staff, the pool, the room really EVERYTHING is perfect here. Unfortunately, can't give more than a 10. But of all the hotels I've visited in recent years, this is the very best.

The most beautiful entrance of a hotel. It's really a picture. The staff very friendly. I came for 1 night due to transit. But will return next week to really enjoy it.

The stay was okay, but by no means what one expects, or what the hotel promises.
This accommodation is truly beautiful and scores with a prime location and a great view. The staff are very accommodating, making you feel comfortable right from the first moment. Particularly noteworthy is the charm of the old castle, which gives the whole thing a fairytale touch and transports you back in time.

- • The hotel has a lot of potential in principle, but unfortunately, the overall experience does not meet the expectations that one can expect with a room rate of nearly 600 euros per night. Particularly disappointing was the wellness and pool area. The hotel advertises tranquility and relaxation, which was hardly possible due to playing and noisy children at the pool. Perhaps it would be worth considering running the hotel - or at least the wellness area - as an adults-only hotel or with adult-only times, so that guests looking for peace can actually find it. Unfortunately, the service was not consistently convincing either. Despite repeated requests, requested items were not brought to the room, so we eventually had to take care of it ourselves. In addition, there was a clear deficiency in the room: paint was peeling off the ceiling and visibly hanging down. Such a condition is simply not acceptable for a hotel in this price range. Although the deficiency was reported, it remained unchanged when we checked out. In such a situation, I would have expected at least a small gesture of goodwill - for example, the bread ordered on arrival for 9.50 euros on the house. It is less about the amount than about the gesture and handling of justified criticism. It's a pity, as the hotel does have charm. However, at this price level, I expect significantly more quality, better service, and above all, that the advertised promise of peace and relaxation is actually kept.

We reserved two rooms, and the staff took the time to help us choose the perfect accommodations for our family. They recommended a room that was ideally configured for our toddler and four-year-old, and their advice was absolutely spot on. Every detail met our needs perfectly, making our stay effortless from the very beginning. Both rooms were stunning, with breathtaking views overlooking the fortress and the city of Salzburg. Waking up to that scenery each morning was unforgettable. Every detail reflected exceptional quality—from the plush towels and luxurious bed linens to the elegant furnishings and décor. The amenities were equally impressive. We loved relaxing in the swimming pool and spa, and spending time at the Glass Garden was one of the highlights of our visit. Dinner at the Michelin-starred restaurant was extraordinary, while breakfast each morning offered an incredible selection and impeccable service. We also appreciated the thoughtful snacks and refreshments provided in our rooms, another touch that made us feel exceptionally well cared for. What truly set Hotel Schloss Mönchstein apart, however, was its people. Every member of the team was warm, gracious, knowledgeable, and remarkably professional. They went out of their way to accommodate our family during meals while maintaining the impeccable service you expect from a world-class hotel. This wasn't simply a wonderful hotel stay—it was an experience we'll remember for years to come. Every aspect, from the accommodations and amenities to the dining and service, was first-rate.
