The location is convenient to the ferry port, it’s a nice enough hotel with comfortable bedroom but not many other positives

The location was ideal for getting the early ferry. Room was spacious & comfortable.

- • Dreadful location. Industrial estate with the noises typical of workers when they start early. It is located in a gas station. No nearby services. Access to the town's services area very lonely and dark. A considerable-sized hotel that is left alone, without staff, all night. We do not know what we would have had to do in case of any problem. The toiletries leave much to be desired. They are quite deficient, especially the shower soap. Frankly, 85 euros in a very limited town and furthermore in the industrial estate seems like a very high rate. To top it off, one of the receptionists somewhat haughty and finally, a simple breakfast consisting of a coffee with milk and toasted bread with oil, 4 euros. Neighborhood price in Salamanca in Madrid.

- • Disappointing location. The hotel is part of an old gas station and currently fuel trucks are parked on its ground floor. Quite far from the town.
Good starting point for Bilbao and surroundings
We had a pleasant stay at Hotel Ortuella. Even though the hotel is not directly in Bilbao, the connection to the highways and expressways is very good, so you can quickly reach Bilbao and the surrounding area by car. We particularly liked the quiet location. Despite the good transport connections, it was very quiet in the hotel. Parking spaces were always sufficient, so we didn't have to worry about that either. Our room was clean, spacious, and comfortable. Overall, we really liked the hotel and we would choose it again anytime for a stay in the Bilbao region.
