Excellent location; quiet place, walking distance to Hosok Tere, easy access to the subway and Tram. All Staff members were very helpful and kind. I recommend this Hotel to visit Budapest.

A beautiful historic Hotel, in a walkable area within easy reach of major public transit lines.
Hotel Oktogon is in a converted villa off the Oktogon, near the intersection of the M1 metro line and trams 4 and 6. It has some beautiful architectural details. Room windows look into a 4-story interior lobby/courtyard. The hotel has a luggage storage room, wellness center, and an amazing breakfast. The ventilation system is first rate. The staff is attentive, and will recommend restaurants, schedule activities, taxis, etc. The hotel normally responded within an hour to booking.com messages.

- • I visited during a heat wave and the provided comforters were too warm. Closing the drapes blocked some of the air flow, but opening them allowed light in from the courtyard. Perhaps the staff could have provided lighter covers - I didn't think to ask.
Enjoyed breakfast. Excellent service in the bar. Good location for Opera district and restaurants. Beautiful building

Great hotel, absolutely recommendable
Great hotel, absolutely meets the stars! Everything super clean. Great breakfast buffet. The reception staff were very helpful and nice. 400m from the metro.
