Lovely stay in Oaxaca

Everything. The room was super spacious and super clean, with a lovely back patio. The hotel has got a lovely design and really great energy, and everyone is extremely kind. Definitely my favourite stay in my whole stay in Mexico!

Little oasis

It was like a little oasis amongst the city. Although it’s in Centro it’s very peaceful and quiet in the courtyard once inside. The breakfast varied each morning but was buffet style and the best hotel breakfast I’ve ever had e.g home made jam, mangos, pineapple, kefir and omelettes with lots of veggies. Carlos was amazing and helped us throughout our stay. I felt spoilt that we had a 24 hour desk and could find staff whenever we needed. They provided fresh filtered water every day which was something not provided to us at other hotels during our trip. The bed was comfortable and I felt like royalty walking through the courtyard. We will come back! The location was good, it’s kind of situated right on the between the locals zone and the tourist up market zone. We walked through the locals area which was interesting but you will probably head more into the tourist zone most of the time for better restaurants and artisan shops, about 10 min walk.

Great hotel with attentive staff

The hotel is centrally located, only a few blocks from the Zocalo. The interior is beautifully decorated and the staff is attentive and very helpful. When my plans fell through for a trip to Monte Alban, they helped me book a new excursion. Also, the hotel is also right across the street from a cute plaza full of different ice cream vendors and next to a beautiful church. It's a fun spot for people watching after a long day exploring the city.

Wonderful, relaxing & peaceful stay. Top quality service for the value

This place is a gem. I was here for a week with my partner and I can't say enough good things about it. It's located right in the centro, off of a relatively busy street but you can't hear it from your room. The room and bathroom was spacious, the staff were incredibly attentive and had amazing recommendations, the garden terrace is gorgeous and relaxing. Bed was comfortable, water pressure was great, we slept incredibly well. And the breakfasts were amazing! You're a stone's throw away from a beautiful market and plaza, and 10-15 minutes walking distance from multiple markets and all the downtown bustle & shopping. It was wonderful to be close but not in the middle of all the tourist attractions. Would stay here again and we miss it already!

Relaxed Oasis in the Heart of Oaxaca

Hotel Casa Pereyra is perfectly located in the center of Oaxaca, just a 10-minute walk from the main square, making it an excellent base for exploring the city. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with genuine warmth by an extremely kind and caring staff who made us feel at home throughout our stay. The rooms are fairly basic in style, but they offer all the comfort needed for a pleasant stay. What truly gives the hotel its charm is the relaxed atmosphere centered around a lovely patio, a peaceful space to unwind after a day in the city. Breakfast is simple but enjoyable, with a continental buffet complemented each morning by a freshly prepared Mexican specialty from the cook. This daily homemade touch was both tasty and much appreciated. A charming and friendly place that offers excellent value and a very authentic Oaxaca experience.

Great stay

Special breakfast dishes were a treat!

It was a failure. The regular reasonable hotels in Oaxaca will be 100 USD.

Breakfast consisted of watery yogurt, homemade marmalade, supermarket bread, and a daily ordinary Mexican dish. The house looked great in the pictures, and guest reviews were perfect. So we paid 2,900 MX (170 USD). The room we stayed in was a small corner room - a standard queen room. The bed was small and soft. Breakfast was not special. You can get it anywhere in the Mercado Stand. Frankly speaking, 1,500 MX would be the proper price for the room.
