- • It is difficult to point out any negatives. With such a high standard, expectations are naturally high, but during my stay, I did not encounter anything that significantly affected its comfort.

Credit card deposit taken with no warning
Stayed for two nights as a member of a tour group. Room and breakfast paid for to tour company. On the second day, we were asked to provide a deposit on a credit card. I did so and, after currency conversion, this was for GB£89.95. However, the hotel, with no notice to me, also took a deposit for GB£346.98!! This was completely unacceptable. I was only aware as I noticed the two pending transactions on the bank app on the last morning prior to check-out. I was informed, when I raised the issue as I was checking-out, that there was an error and that both amounts would be released. Two days later, I am waiting for both amounts to be unblocked on the credit card. Can I suggest that if the Hotel takes such a charge in error then the guest should be immediately informed; not have to discover for themselves.
