- • The main pool was always dirty (the water was always murky and with trash or glasses inside). We arrived and they charged extra taxes per day and per person... The buffet for meals and dinners was not good and had almost no variety. The air conditioning in our room made a lot of noise and did not let us sleep peacefully... It was supposed that no one could reserve sunbeds they were not using for more than an hour and still that rule was not respected... When I mentioned it to a hotel staff member, they practically called me a liar and gave preference to foreigners who were not using the sunbeds...
Super clean, excellent staff, and great food make this place a win.

Helpful Staff
The pools were really nice and the staff was friendly. Our main concierge Romi was really friendly and communicated with us well and was attentive. Royal Sands also had pretty decent food options. Romi was such a great help and very good at her job.

Great for family vacation!
The resort is conveniently located under 30 mins from the airport. Rooms are spacious and clean with great views. We had a two-bedroom beachfront suite with a full kitchen and two full bathrooms, so lots of space to allow for family time and alone time. Food options were great, although offerings at La Veranda were not always consistent (some things were better than others), but because of the variety offered, it was not an issue. The only thing I would be mindful of when booking is the distance of your room from the main lobby which overlooks the beautiful pool you see on the resort's main page. We were in building 5, the furthest away from the main lobby (we checked in at the Garden lobby), so we had to walk about 5-7 minutes to get to the main pool, the buffet, the convenience store, etc. While it wasn't an issue for us because my kids are older, it might be a trek for a family with young kids.

We have been at the Sands for almost 25 years and multiple times a year. There are very few places better. Great place for families.

Great food, great staff, and fantastic music by Jorge Duran
We loved the food, actually it was much better than the previous years. The best part of our vacation at the Sands is having dinner and listening to the fantastic music of maestro Jeorge Duran. He makes our vacation.

Beautiful resort, great food, and lovely staff
This is a great place for a family holiday. The kids loved the pools and the beach. Restaurants, spa, and rooms were all fantastic.
