- • It's not all inclusive when they constantly take your room card for every drink or meal. No introduction or explanation about amenities - we had to ask other people staying there where to take towels, or where to find activities, what time they functioning
Excellent choice for a family plan!
Excellent location, very complete facilities, very friendly service, and delicious food.

- • Beware of the fine print at the time of booking... if you stay at the hotel on a Saturday, due to the rights of those who pay timeshare, there is a room change on that day.

Perfect vacation, wonderful experience at this beautiful hotel... the service, entertainment, food, grounds, gym were excellent!

🚨 ALERT TO ALL ROYAL RESORTS MEMBERS
Massive fraud due to confidential data leak and zero accountability from the company. I want to share our story to warn all current and future members of Royal Resorts. A few weeks ago, we were victims of a fraud totaling $4,000 USD ($72,764.00 MXN). The most alarming part isn’t just the financial loss, but the complete negligence of the company and the blatant security breach in their systems. We were contacted on our home landline by individuals claiming to be company staff (names: Jonatan Herrera and Aarón, calling from +52 998 345 3647). They pressured us, stating that we were about to lose our contract due to alleged outstanding maintenance fees for 2024, 2025, and 2026. They sent official-looking documents, and we fell for the trap, making deposits to an account under the name Operadora Real Arenas S.A. de C.V. Why are we absolutely certain this information came from inside Royal Resorts? Because the scammers didn't guess a single thing; they had our complete file with highly specific data that ONLY the company and we could have known: Our full names, physical address, home phone number, exact contract number, and registered emails. The exact history of our previous villa/interval contract that had expired and our transition to the current points-based system. The precise dates of our last reservation and our last payment. The internal, real status of our alleged debts for the 2024, 2025, and 2026 annual fees. Anyone with common sense knows this data only exists on Royal Resorts' servers. Either an internal employee is selling member data, or their systems were severely breached. Royal Resorts' Response: When confronted, their stance has been completely evasive and cold. They limit themselves to saying there is "no proof of a data leak" and that they sent a mass email back in June 2024 (an email my wife never received) stating they no longer accepted wire transfers. Basically, they wash their hands, blame us for getting scammed, and refuse to offer any kind of commercial support, discount, or credit on our actual contract to make up for their failure to protect our private information. We are already proceeding legally, filing formal complaints with INAI (the Mexican Federal Agency for Data Protection) for the violation of privacy laws, and PROFECO (the Consumer Protection Agency). I am making this public so you think twice before trusting your hard-earned money and personal information to a company that completely turns its back on you when their own security fails. Protect your data and be extremely careful with your contracts at Royal Resorts! #RoyalResorts #RoyalResortsMembers #TimeshareScam #DataLeak #INAI #PROFECO #Cancun #TravelScam #DataPrivacy

Wonderful week
Really enjoyed stay. Lots to do or just relax! Nice rooms! Close to beach! Water aerobics, card games! Would like more gluten-free choices in restaurants.

Amazing! You won’t regret it!
Beautiful grounds, wasn’t hassled for any extras or “upgrades” … food is amazing (better than the Hilton!). Kids had a blast at the water park which was included. Heaps of pool chairs and the ocean there has very little sargassum.

Just right
I would say I loved my suite and the beach. I loved the beach was not crowded. Staff was kind and respectful. Property was nice and clean. Food and drinks need improvement. I would describe as an affordable mid-level resort great for families. I would come back again if looking for a nice place at a nice rate.

Royal Sands Resort
This is the 3rd year and maybe last. They had shows most nights in the years before but now only 3 a week. Karaoke is super fun and we sang last year as a family. Small kids and all. This year, it's in the sports bar and kids aren't allowed. Bars in the swimming pool close at 6 pm so if you are looking to have a drink while in the pool, (pool is open till 10 pm) you have to get out and get a drink from the buffet or sports bar which is definitely a walk. Also, yes, it's nature but the price is too high for this resort when 1 day out of the week is the only day you can enjoy the beach, if that. Lots of sargassum and crazy big waves. We are going to find a resort that is worth our money.

Our Dream Vow Renewal Turned Into an Unnecessary Nightmare
My wife and I spent more than a year planning our vow renewal ceremony. It was supposed to be one of the most memorable and meaningful moments of our lives. We chose this resort believing it would provide the perfect setting for us and our 35 guests who traveled to celebrate with us. Unfortunately, what should have been a dream event quickly turned into a stressful and frustrating experience. After checking in on Thursday, we were shocked to learn that all of our rooms would be changed on the day of our ceremony. We were told that members would be arriving and that our group would need to be relocated. This was completely unacceptable and should have been disclosed long before our arrival. Had we known there was even a possibility of this happening, we would have chosen a different resort. The room changes created absolute chaos. Many of the women in our group had scheduled hair and makeup appointments for the day of the ceremony and were left scrambling, unsure whether their rooms would be ready in time. Instead of enjoying the excitement leading up to such a special occasion, our guests were stressed, confused, and frustrated. No wedding or vow renewal party should have to deal with this kind of disruption on the most important day of their celebration. Another major issue involved Mia, who works at the front concierge desk handling excursions. Shortly after arriving, she approached my wife and me in the lobby and offered what she described as a free excursion if we attended a 90-minute seminar. She assured us there was no issue and simply asked us to sign so she could reserve our spots. The next morning, I informed her that I would not be able to attend the excursion or the seminar because my feet were severely swollen and I was having difficulty walking. She told me it was not a problem and suggested I sign up for a different seminar later. I never attended another seminar, nor did I sign up for one. Despite this, she continued messaging me throughout the day about the excursion while constantly changing details, prices, and what had originally been promised. Eventually, I told her to forget the entire thing. To my surprise, later that evening—around 9:00 PM or later—I received a message stating that my credit card would be charged for not attending. I am currently disputing this charge with my credit card company. My advice to future guests is simple: read everything carefully and think twice before signing anything related to excursions or presentations. To make matters worse, we also had a disappointing experience with room service. When I attempted to order additional food, I was told that I had already ordered "too much food." I found this comment extremely unprofessional. This is an all-inclusive resort, and the ability to order food is part of the experience that guests pay for. Being made to feel judged or criticized for using a service included in the price of my stay was both embarrassing and inappropriate. After spending over a year planning a once-in-a-lifetime celebration and investing significant money to bring together family and friends, I expected far better. Instead of focusing on renewing our vows and creating unforgettable memories, we found ourselves dealing with unnecessary stress, poor communication, questionable business practices, and unprofessional customer service. What should have been one of the happiest weekends of our lives was overshadowed by disappointment.
