Best part of our 3 weeks in South Africa. I recommend a day at Addo Elephant reserve and Schotia reserve.
Beautiful setting, amazing staff, terrific game drives, very good food, room with outstanding facilities and views. Saul was a great game drive. Owner and employees made our stay.

Very good! Definitely do the safaris!
The facility was very nice. Great view, large rooms. We did the Addo Safari on the first day and then the Schotia Safari. Both were amazing and the guides were very nice. I would recommend doing both as they have different vibes. If there's only time for one safari, I would prefer Schotia, where the animals are closer and the chance of seeing the big 5 is higher. Breakfast was delicious. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful.

- • Coffee and tea were included in breakfast, I ordered a cocoa. At the end of the trip, I was told it was not included and I had to pay for it... Also, there were many animals, spiders, geckos, beetles, snakes, etc. in the room. But that's normal given the lodge's location. The way to the lodge leads over a gravel road, but we could see turtles, etc., on it.

Very beautiful location and clean, we booked a great safari in Addo Elephant National Park through the hotel and had a top driver.

- • The hotel overall feels very traditional and somewhat stiff. The restaurant concept was particularly unusual: fixed table arrangement, serving together for all guests, and little flexibility. Upon arrival, you had to choose a menu immediately, which felt uncomfortable and somewhat forced. Since there are hardly any alternatives in the area, you practically depend on half board. The first evening with a set menu and the quiet atmosphere was overall rather strange, other guests also seemed surprised. In addition, not all dishes could be eaten, making the concept even more inflexible. The barbecue on the second evening, however, was much more relaxed and overall more pleasant. The rooms were comfortable but rather dark. Overall, the hotel is very 'old school,' which is a matter of taste.

Beautiful park and very friendly staff. We booked a tour of Addo and had a great driver with a lot of knowledge who explained everything about the park and the animals. Breakfast was fine, fresh with plenty of choices. We dined twice and it was delicious, highly recommended!
