Modern hotel in the center of Berlin with a pool
Nice modern hotel near the center of Berlin at the StadtMitte metro stop. The area is full of restaurants, but it's quiet in the evening. Parking was available in the adjacent parking garage for 32€/day. Well-equipped minibar. The pool is free, but you need to pay 15€ to use the sauna.

- • The toilet was not well cleaned. Mold in the corner of the shower, towels were very worn and had a bad smell. Two complimentary water bottles in the room were only for Diamond status guests, but should be available for everyone for around 7€. Information about free pool use is not clear from the hotel instructions.
The location at Gendarmenmarkt is very good for the classic open-air event. The price including breakfast is too high.

Not good due to the renovations carried out in the hotel throughout our stay, not allowing us to sleep and rest in the hotel
We did not have breakfast, the location is excellent, and the staff is nice. Everything else is a disaster, not what you expect from the Hilton chain.

- • We arrived in the afternoon after a sleepless overnight flight, wanting to rest a bit, but it turns out the place is under renovations. There was terrible noise until 5:00 PM, making it impossible to sleep at all. The next morning, renovations started around 8:00 AM and continued throughout the day and the following days. There was no mention when we made the reservation that the hotel was under renovations. In summary: a noisy hotel under renovation, not allowing rest throughout the day.
I am a returning guest once a year... and that should summarize the hotel's quality. ☺️

- • The biggest issue for us was the bed. It was incredibly uncomfortable. We generally prefer a firm mattress, but this mattress was so firm that we both woke up sore every morning, which really affected our stay. It felt more like sleeping on a hard board than on a quality hotel mattress. We contacted Guest Services to ask if a mattress topper was available, hoping it might make the bed more comfortable. We were simply told they didn’t have any, with no offer of an alternative solution, such as extra bedding, a room change, or any other attempt to help. Another frustration was the minibar. The fridge had sensors, and there was only a tiny amount of space left for guests’ own drinks, not enough room for the two bottles we had. Because the minibar items are sensor-controlled, we couldn’t remove them to make space without worrying about being charged.
