Great location. Top professional service. Friendly and welcoming.
The location was amazing. Balcony overlooking the Harbour was awesome. Great views and great location for walking distance to everything. Valet parking and concierge staff were top class. Very friendly and professional. Big guy greeted us at the door and made us feel welcome immediately. Lady with French accent was politely insistant that she take our bags and load our car for us. Really wonderful service. Made us feel special. Front desk staff were professional and efficient. Couldn't have asked for a better experience. Super happy we stayed and would stay again.

Glorious harbour positioning and excellent staff make this Hilton hotel stay most memorable
I had the sheer pleasure of staying at the Auckland Hilton Hotel during New Zealand fashion week 2026 and returned for an art auction at Webbs auction house the following week. The position is exceptional to say the very least. On the edge of both the Waitemata Harbour and Auckland downtown city Centre, at breakfast you gaze out over a 360° view of Auckland water waves, islands and city that takes your breath away. The breakfast is extensive catering well for all types of dietary, including vegetarian, vegan and Asian influence creeping in which was a delicious option. The omelettes were a favourite with the vegetarian fried rice. Definitely get a window seat and, after breakfast, take a walk directly out onto the balcony promenade to soak in that view. There’s even a park bench seat out there for you to watch Auckland wake up in the morning including with the ferry boats going out to Devonport, Waiheke Island and Great Barrier Island and the stars at night from the restaurant would be exceptional. The latter a good reason to return soon. I had a side room on a higher floor that had my own private balcony as well as a desk which was important for work where I could gaze out to the harbour and type away or conference call. The beds were and comfortable the bathroom large with everything that you would want. Of course there’s the usual mini bar with local offerings and a kettle for herb tea and coffee options. The downstairs Bellini bar for a glass of wine and an on ground view was relaxing, especially when the fire was lit in the evenings. I didn’t get the opportunity to try the fish restaurant but aim to return. There’s the opportunity for Room service if in the warmer months you want to take in that balcony view in your own private setting. But the highlight apart from everything above was the hotel’s staff. Sincere, helpful, warm, courteous and down to earth as I stayed for several days and returned.

The view was so beautiful especially at nighttime. The location was also very good, Easy to find from Quay Street. the Valet was also very nice. I have never stayed at a hotel before, so this very much exceeded my expectation. Me and my partner will definitely be back!!

- • Upon arrival, we were given a bottle of wine for our anniversary, and I was not informed that it was going to cost $50 on our bill. If that was mentioned when we accepted it, I wouldn't have taken it. I am unsure about how hotels work, and I may seem naive but I do know now!! Lol.
