Pure magic in the heart of Old Delhi
This was a once in a lifetime hotel experience- we were very gratefully upgraded to a traditional suite in this gorgeous heritage haveli in the heart of bustling old Delhi. Yes, there is a little walk down a busy, narrow alleyway which could be quite confronting for some but what an experience!rest assured that you are absolutely safe - our driver phoned through to the hotel so that the hotel staff were there to greet us. They carried our 3 big suitcases expertly on a tiny trolley and another member of staff escorted us so we felt very safe and were able to soak up the authentic experience. The welcome was so special, all of the staff were attentive and treated us like royalty. I’m glad the sign was there about no individual tipping so we gave a bigger tip at the end. The building itself rich with history and it was easy spending time marvelling at the architecture. It is so beautiful it’s hard to describe. The food was excellent, beautifully prepared dishes and very delicious. The kite flying at sunset was fun although got a little crowded and I felt ignored for a long time so gave up and returned a bit later on. It was truly magic watching the sunset across the rooftops of Old Dehli. The traditional dancers in the evening was a real treat and so funny how we all left our dining tables to go and watch the 10 minute show on the first floor. We only wish we had longer here although it is an extremely pricey hotel so two nights would have been a stretch! It was 100% worth it though. We genuinely felt like we were in a film.

- • I agree with another comment about being more generous with shower gel, shampoo etc. It is more sustainable (and I would have thought economical) these days to have large bottles of these available.

An oasis of tranquility in the heart of Old Delhi
A perfect oasis in the heart of Old Delhi to discover the capital in all its intensity while benefiting from accommodation in an incredible and quiet setting. This Haveli is beautifully renovated and the view in the evening from the roof over the Jasma Majid and the kites is totally incredible. The staff is attentive and takes care of its customers. Very good food!

An amazing authentic but comfortable experience
Loved that both parts of the hotel were restored Havelis and all the ancient buildings and history around them. We wanted to be in old Delhi, with its lanes and chaos to experience the ancient part of the city properly. Its location was an easy walk to the Red Fort and markets. The hotel staff were very helpful in obtaining and negotiating prices on vehicles to take us to restaurants and sights, which was great. The hotel suggests we didn’t give tips directly but just in a box in the hotel, which was less daunting for us.

- • The lane both parts of the hotel is located on is a bit narrow and grubby but as expected and part of the authentic experience which we actually appreciated. So we were happy. We did arrive in an unusually heavy end of monsoon time, so we and our bags were soaked walking from our taxi to the hotel but this was bad timing. The staff were helpful and charming.
Absolutely fantastic experience. Loved the Old Delhi location - it's not for everyone but a lifetime

- • The hotel driver wasn't there to pick me up from the airport. I got through passport control very quickly and he hadn't arrived on time.
