- • Upon arrival at night, I was informed that the hotel was overbooked, even though I had already checked in online and paid the booking through Booking.com. When I asked for the cause, the receptionist eventually handed me a key card after a long search on the PC. However, upon unlocking the room, it turned out that the room was already occupied. Very unpleasant for both me and the person who was very startled awake. I have never experienced anything like this before. The receptionist then offered me a room in a hotel of the same chain about 10 km away, but that turned out not to be possible. In the end, I had to book an alternative myself and insistently ask for a written confirmation of the overbooking. Fortunately, the alternative hotel was only a three-minute walk away.
