- • The power went out the first night. The carpet needs a deep clean. The shower is only lukewarm, with very little pressure. Heated towel rail needed fixing, towels didn’t dry in the internal bathroom. We were there for 3 nights and there was no towel change.
The location is great. In good walking distance from the city center but not too close, so very quiet.

Clean room but not practical for elderly due to the amount of stairs!
Quiet location within a ten-minute walk of the many attractions in York. Clean and modern interior.

- • We were on the top floor and trying to lift my case up multiple stairs was very difficult and exhausting. In the eaves, my husband had to be careful that he didn't bang his head on the ceiling. There were no hooks in the bathroom to hang clothes on and the radiator was tiny and not big enough to dry bath towels. The one chair was very rickety. The mattress was very bouncy which moved every time my husband turned over in bed!
Only suitable for sleeping at night.
