Kind hearted staff making your experience memorable in Petra
We actually stayed at the Movenpick Hotel as the Grand Mercure was undergoing renovations. Muaht and his team at the Movenpick Hotel have been incredible. They helped us with every request and went out of their way to help us rebook our flight back to the UK after experiencing travel disruptions. I would thoroughly recommend staying here especially because of the kindness of the staff

- • In retrospect we would have appreciated a bit more advanced notice that the we’d be staying at the Movenpick Hotel instead of the Grand Mercure

- • we already make payment on Booking.com few days before the check-in, yet the reception repeating charged the fee into the guaranteed card!! Message to the hotel and they only ask us call booking.com. Very poor service for a 5-star hotel!

Upgraded to MÖVENPICK hotel
The Movenpick Hotel has an excellent location if you go without a car, as it is in front of the visitor center. The breakfast is very good and varied. The room does not have a view of the Wadi Rum valley but it is large and spacious. It has 3 restaurants. The price of dinner is 25JOD without including drinks, but it is plentiful. Keep in mind that in winter the terrace is closed and the pool is outdoors. The staff is very attentive and friendly.

We actually were upgraded to Movenpick Petra. The room was nice. Staff was perfect. They have the best breakfast I have experienced (quality and selection of products). The hotel is very close to the Petra entrance.
