Very comfortable hotel in a perfect location, everything walkable
The rooms were spacious with very comfortable beds. The bathroom was a good size with a great shower. We were in one of the wings so can’t comment on the rest of the hotel. Didn’t eat at the hotel as we like trying many new tastes and Utrecht was perfect for that. Perfect location, so central overlooking the canal but peaceful.

- • The first impression of the wing of the hotel we stayed in was very sterile, one plant that was very small for the space, didn’t feel 5 star until we got to our room. Swimming pool much smaller than the photo.

- • There were 4 pillows of the same size on the bed. It would be nice if they were 2 different sizes. The pillows were too thick for me to sleep on and I got a stiff neck and slept uncomfortably. Then a choice would be nice

- • It is a bit soulless - endless featureless corridors with random armchairs along the way rather than a proper lounge. We didn’t appreciate - given the price - not being provided with bottled water and being told instead to drink from the tap. The waiters at breakfast don’t write down orders and as a result errors get made and items forgotten. The reception staff are quite offhand - nobody said goodbye when we left. No proper windows in room. No turndown service. Poor quality toiletries and not many of them.
