- • You can tell it’s company owned- very tired looking could do with a refurbish. Chipped paint,random cushions, bathroom needs resealed- I decided not to look too closely but I’d say not well cleaned from day to day- usual house keeping tricks. Not enough tea/ coffee for our stay- mean

- • Apartment not as luxurious as advertised. Paintwork on door and cills chipped and bathrooms old fashioned. Kitchen cupboards chipped and cracked. No dressing table to get ready at in the bedroom. Balcony grubby and needed painting. Bedroom 2 next to noisy walkway with people coming home until past 3am waking my little boy up.

- • The noise of traffic from 6am every morning. Ours was a 2 bed apt with main bedroom having a lovely seaview but also on a very busy road.

- • Seems a bit old and loud noise from the street until 1 am and from 6-6:30 the party car comes that can be heard through the windows

- • Bedroom blinds let a lot of light in around edges and the area is very bright outside, also very little soundproofing from windows, I am a very light sleeper so this may not affect everybody.
Mini break
The location couldn't be better and the cleanliness of the apartment was perfect and I am fussy. Cleaning staff were very friendly. We were concerned initially reading some of the reviews but we were very happy with what was on offer. There was tea, coffee and everything we required as a family in the apartment. Good shower, all kitchen appliances etc. There is noise at night coming from the traffic on the nearby road but that is to be expected given the location. Parking is tight at the back but it wasn't an issue either. Great bars, restaurants, walks and entertainment for all the family on your doorstep.

- • A €150 deposit which did come out of my account but will be returned within 6 days if the apartment meets their standards. It is stated in the small print however a link was sent to me 5 days prior to the booking to pay the deposit even though bookings.com say don't make any further payments through links etc after making the non-refundable payment for the initial booking. It was legit but didn't feel right at the time and given the scam world we live in it can be hard to determine what is fact and what is fiction anymore. I questioned it through messaging and in fairness I was given and took the option to pay the deposit at the self-service check-in. No problem with that but this was on top of paying €700 for a 2-night family stay. €850 to fork out before you do anything else for a mini break is steep!!
