AWFUL room and experience - not as advertised photos and we have proof!

- • We stayed here for one night (only, thankfully) on our way to Albania and can honestly say this was the worst hotel room we have ever stayed in, as you can see from the photos, and we travel a lot. I have complained about 16 issues and am contesting the charge with the credit card company because it was not as advertised, which is a breach of the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and something that Booking.com needs to comply with as it operates in the UK. The issues ranged from the room itself being severely shabby/run down and filthy, hairs in beds, mould and mildew in the bathroom, missing door handles and light bulbs, an unavoidable floor drain/vent with a cover that kept moving around to expose the open sewer, stink from this sewer, what looked like human waste on the bathroom stool, a visible gap between the front door and door frame, and no running water for an hour in the morning! We complained on the night we checked in but were told that the hotel is fully booked and we got one of the old rooms because we had booked a week or so in advance. This is irrelevant because they still charged us full price (130 Euros) and did not show anywhere in the photos or state this to be the case in the ad. This room was not even worth a fraction of that. They also tried to tell us that the room was "traditional", if that was the case why was this "charm" not showcased on the website? Because people, including us, would never book at that price if they could see the room they might get. Steer clear of this place. The hotel has responded to negative reviews by making out like people are lying, but I have all the evidence by way of photos and videos. They even called the police on another customer - what an awful place.
The apartment was very spacious and clean with a very large balcony and a fantastic bed. Close to Corfu town. As far as we are concerned, not a location to spend the whole day by the pool. Nice to have a bar where you can still have a drink (a delicious cocktail) or something to eat.

- • Despite the complex being extremely relaxed, it is located on a very busy road. However, I must admit that you don't notice it at all within the complex. Bus stop about 200 meters from the complex. Be there well in advance, as they don't really run on time (or not at all). Walking is also an option to Corfu town, but at your own risk due to the busy road.
Good for early flight with children.
Close to the center and airport. Nice pool to swim with children, small bar near the pool to have snacks. We stayed only 1 night because we had an early flight.

- • Because the airport was very close, it wasn't very comfortable due to the noise. Also, you can smell petrol from the airport I guess.

- • Airplane noise and too far from the center and few buses at this time... frequency changing from September 14 because fewer tourists.
