The hotel is a dream. Great location, the room with a view of the St. Lawrence River was not huge but very cozy and has everything you need. The food was very good, and the staff was very friendly and accommodating.

- • The only thing that bothered us was that the fridge was fully stocked, and you couldn't store anything in it without consuming something. Luckily, my medication that needs to be refrigerated was already used up.

- • The noise from the extractor at the bottom of the building and the smell of cooking that wafted up when the windows were open. A trickle of water for showering, clearly lacking pressure. Difficult access to the terrace and bar, must consume to access.

At Freemont, you are paying for location and grandeur!
The location is perfect, it can't be better! The rooms are decent, though the bathrooms are small. Our rooms did not have a river view; I guess they charge a premium for that. The staff was very courteous and helpful; they helped us check in early.

- • The value for money was not there, to a greater extent! I mean, Fairmont is charging an overly premium price solely for the property's location and historical value.
Overall it was a great place to stay and enjoy.
