Updating is necessary, but without losing the essence
The team, in general, remains faithful to the establishment's philosophy: cordial, attentive, and [generally] attentive to the right extent. Special mention to Eri [restaurant]: helpful and friendly and also to Dodô [spa]. Location. General maintenance. Quality of bed linen, mattress, and pillows.

- • Still about the team: Only stands out a bit at check out [any additional information generates a certain difficulty or even lack of preparation. Ex.: about the celebration of the hotel's 25 years]. My request for an upgrade [the 1st in 15 years of stays, now on a special occasion, as I explained by email, was not met, not even on the 2nd night, when the hotel was no longer full]. Also ignored was the request - also made for the 1st time - to place the flags of Minas Gerais and Rio de Janeiro on the facade during my stay [a simple treat]. I had difficulty understanding the restaurant's makeover. The wide entrance door now remains closed, covering the beautiful vegetal wall. The new decoration there seemed, overall, confusing and monochromatic. It used to be more refined. The breakfast service - except for Eri - was very slow on both days, and inattentive [the juice requested was replaced by another, the grilled bread with cheese arrived when I was already getting up to leave]. The simple cheese bread - oh! the cheese bread, this Minas Gerais heritage - definitely was not up to the level of a hotel of this standard. The room's air conditioning could have a control within reach, and during the night/early morning, it loses cooling efficiency. The window curtain - it seemed to me - can no longer be drawn. There is a lack of lighting in the room's entrance corridor.
Does not deserve to be a five-star

- • Room below par for a compact five-star. In the bathroom, it was necessary to juggle to access the shampoo and conditioner containers (although they are of a great brand) communication employees
