- • I come to express my deep indignation with the experience I had through the Booking platform and request a full refund of my reservation. I chose this accommodation because I trusted Booking's credibility. Unfortunately, this trust was completely frustrated. The establishment advertised by the platform did not offer the minimum conditions of hygiene, comfort, and safety. The room had a dirty bathtub with hair; dirty bed linen; dirty, wet, and slippery floor; ceiling and walls with mold and an extremely strong and unbearable smell, to the point that I spent the night coughing and practically unable to sleep. My husband had to take a cold shower because we were instructed by the reception to just turn the shower knob. After over an hour of waiting, we were informed that the gas was turned off. The air conditioning, which should heat the room, also did not work properly. There was only a thin sheet to cover us on a very cold night. There wasn't even a glass available to drink water, and the requests made to the reception were not adequately met. In addition, we paid an extra R$ 135.00 just to check in two hours early and still, we were subjected to an accommodation completely incompatible with the minimum standard that any consumer expects when booking through a globally recognized platform. I have photos and videos that prove all the irregularities found. I also consider it extremely disappointing that, faced with such a serious situation, Booking does not provide an efficient customer service channel to immediately resolve the problem. Booking cannot simply advertise establishments, receive reservations, and leave the consumer helpless when the accommodation offered is in totally inadequate conditions.
